This happened two weeks ago — and I’m still blown away.
Every time I visit this Rockland Trust location, the experience is disappointing — no greeting, no lobby support, and no urgency. But this situation was the final straw.
I came in to withdraw funds from a Rockland Trust check — yes, a check from your own bank — that had already cleared the day before. The funds were fully available.
What made this worse? I had spoken to Christian a month prior and told him exactly what this check was for. He already knew. But instead of helping me, he said he needed to “research” the check — again — with no clear reason.
I explained that I had stepped out of work briefly and asked several times for an ETA. He ignored me every time. I sat there for 25 minutes with no update, no communication, just silence.
I finally told him to close my account and print my statements. I said I’d be back in a few hours and expected my funds to be ready.
Then I walked next door to Bank of America — and immediately got the kind of service I deserved. Greeted at the door. Helped by professionals. Treated with respect.
Christian and the Rockland team: this was lazy, dismissive, and borderline discriminatory. Over a cleared check from your own bank — one you already knew about? Completely unacceptable.
If you had just communicated instead of wasting my time, it could have been okay.
But I didn’t matter to you — and I hope everyone sees this.
I knew what to do — LEAVE. And I did.

I have been a customer since 1974. I have had nothing but the best customer service since day one. It’s nice to walk into your bank and be greeted by your first name. Nothing but the Best here!
