About Roxbury Heritage State Park
Roxbury Heritage State Park is a local gem and one of the best experiences in the city. The park is a nice place with a beautiful lawn for a stroll or to sit and listen to speakers. The museum and Dillard Building contain a wealth of information, excellent maps, exhibits, and artifacts covering history from precolonial days to the current century, including tons of black history. Knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic staff provide fascinating guided tours that bring everything to life, sharing insights about Roxbury's history as an orchard town. The park hosts beautiful events like the Urban Agriculture Fair. It is a surprising and lovely free experience right in the heart of the city.

I participated in the Urban Agriculture Fair there and it was a beautiful event and a beautiful park, you must check out the Dillard Building, q pleathra or Roxbury History.

One of the best DCR experiences you can ask for and its right in the heart of the city! The staff are friendly, the House is a fantastic landmark, and the events the park hosts are always a hit

It's a nice place, with tons of black history. I was born at the Boston City Hospital, and I waited to become a senior to visit this place, I am truly embarrassed to admit it. I enjoyed visiting and sitting on the lawn and listening to different speakers. It was an honor. That day was too hot for me.
