I recently had the pleasure of my first experience at Salon Capri (Newbury). The salon itself is tastefully decorated and well kept - and the location is unbeatable. The entire team, from reception to the owner, is welcoming and attentive which creates such a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.I was fortunate enough to be scheduled with Cathleen who is the very epitome of a hairstylist. She’s personable and warm. Cathleen perfectly balanced her own expertise with my vision and input, ensuring that I was happy with every decision we made. She couples that consideration with an incredible attention to detail. Her energy, professionalism, and talent resulted in a cut - and experience - I could not be happier with. My boyfriend and I were in a pinch to get haircuts before a wedding we had, and we called Salon Capri who were able to schedule us for the next day. The morning of our appointments, the front desk admin called me to share the stylist I was scheduled with called in sick. They were able to schedule me with another stylist at the same time, and also offered me a complementary hair treatment for the inconvenience. I was totally floored by this amazing customer service!I got my haircut my Cameron and my boyfriend got his done by Marisa. They both did an absolutely amazing job! Like the review mentioned before me, I also had my appointment cancelled at the last minute. What irked me the most was the fact that the hair stylist did not appreciate that I was coming from 3 hours away to see her. My time is just as valuable as hers and should not be taken for granted. If you want my advice, look for a salon who see you as a human being with actual commitments, not just a number.

Salón Capri has been incredible for years and years. Molly simply can do no wrong. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and hard working. The salon is clean and feels chic. 10/10.

I made my appointment on June 3 for today, June 17, so that is 2 weeks in advance. This was a very important appointment because it was for my golden birthday party happening tonight. I also took a personal day from work for this appointment. However, around 10am, I received a call that my appointment was cancelled by the hairstylist with the phrase "sorry for the inconvenience." I get it things come up, but cancelling my appointment 5 hours in advance is very off putting and unprofessional, especially because if I were the one who cancelled the appointment that late (less than 24-48 hours in advance), I would have been charged with a hefty cancellation fee of $225 dollars, basically 50% of the service. If this is the cancellation policy, you must hold both the clients and hairstylists accountable or it is a double standard!

This salon is beautiful and in a great location in the city. Graziella did an amazing job with my haircut— we did long layers and curtain bangs and it has never looked so good!

what a lovely staff! one of the few times i've gotten my hair done at a salon bc i'm usually very picky when it comes to where i get my nails or hair done at salons. my hairstylist carmen is so incredibly genuine and kind ! i felt very comfortable with my hair stylist and she made sure that i was comfortable as well and was very sweet. defo worth the price

After having tried tons of salons in Mass, this one, has me convinced to become my go-to! I went in with a very vague idea of what I wanted. Not only did Graziella do a fabulous cut and blow dry in 30mins, she was also helpful with suggesting hair products and techniques for managing my hair. The cost is of course steep, but you get your money's worth!

Went in yesterday for a blowout with Cathe. She was really lovely and did a good job, although the curls fell out within a few hours. (I was hoping they would last at least for the rest of the day.) The woman at the front desk, however, was snotty and snide. For this reason I wouldn't go back or recommend. There are too many other options in the area with better customer service.

This place has some good stylists. I have had some Fantastic haircuts from some of the senior stylists here and a great color job. I have been going to this salon for about 8 years now and have seen various stylists. The management however is poor. The last appointment I booked i went in the Salon and booked the day before but I couldn't get a 2 PM when i was available. I had told this to the admin and they booked an appointment for 1:45 and I said I will try to make it if not I will let them know. Unfortunately due to my commute I couldn't make it and had to cancel. The next time I called them they said they would need my credit card to just book an appointment. I said that is bizarre and have not heard of any hair salons do this before that too to someone who has been a customer and they said it is because of the last cancellation. I just don't think i am comfortable giving my credit card as a punishment for cancelling an appointment. they should have better cancellation policies. I had to decide not to go there anymore because I am not going to be threatened with a credit card on File which they can deduct money from whenever they can, if a customer is not available and they are requesting a service they should be able to reschedule with no penalty. I will find a business that can do this and may be support them. Thanks to all the stylists that made me look good. Too bad you are working for the wrong people.

Wow!! First time trying this place. Nick was my stylist and not only was he funny, kind, and very outgoing, definitely one of the best hair cuts and styles I’ve ever had. I have a long red hair that’s very fine but a lot of it. A good hairstylist nest how to cut it to make it fall just right. Four days later, it’s still falling perfectly and I’m terrible at styling myself. The staff was all warm and inviting to this newcomer. Sunny & warm day on Newberry Street, parking was quite easy, what a perfect day! Pricing was very reasonable considering the quality.

I have been going to this salon for over ten years. It is well worth every penny. I worship my stylist, Cameron, whom I have been seeing since the beginning. She is honest, helpful, and so fun to spend time with in the chair. My sister and lots of our friends started going to her as well! Everyone else at the salon is kind and friendly as well.

I went in for a haircut with Ashley for the first time (during COVID-19). I am not used to luxury salons but I decided to try it since I haven't treated myself in so long. It was a very smooth experience. I was greeted by the receptionist who sat me down in the salon chair, I had a great shampoo and deep condition which was much needed. Ashley listened to exactly what I wanted: not taking up the length of my hair too much while giving me some blended layers and bangs. I was in and out of the salon in about 45 minutes and even received a shampoo recommendation. It's not something to take down a star for but just expect to pay the Newbury street price. I would definitely return here for my annual haircut.

Such a great place to get a hair cut. Cameron is a great technician and stylist. She knows exactly how to work with my curls. The salon is very clean and hospitable. Top professionalism and service.
