Santander's new check deposit policy for Business (states that in order to make a deposit into a Business Checking Account the employee must be an signer on the account, which in turn, authorizes them to also make WITHDRAWALLS from the account??? . . . INSANITY!!!!!) MH

My wife had a check from a national insurance company sent to us because our premium had been paid twice. The check was made out to my wife and myself and we both endorsed. They said they no longer accept double endorsement checks. They would not take it for deposit or cash it. This is insane. Don't bank with these idiots.

Terrible experience. A bank identifies as Santander Bank has called a few times saying there's an issue with my account. I went to the Santander Bank twice. They closed early one day. I went back again today. A hand written note was on the door. "Be back after lunch" with no time given. I left and came back and the teller (the only one in the place) said that she wouldn't look up my information to see if someone tried to open an account cuz it wouldn't happen. I wouldn't open an account here if it was the last bank on earth.

Santander bank has stolen almost $400 from me and constantly freezes my card without telling me. someone from another country was using my card and I'm not sure because I never online shop, only shop at widely known stores, and am very careful with my card. I called the bank to tell them that the $200 purchases in another country that they were allowing were not me and they told me that they froze my card. I said thank you and hung up and now even 10 mins later I got another charge for $99, proving they never froze my card and lied. today I was buying Christmas presents for my family when my card got declined. I called my bank because I should have at least $80 on it because I transferred $100 from venmo into my account last week. I already used about $20 of it so I knew the transfer went through. now santander is trying to tell me that it never went through and would take at least one more day because lots not an instant transfer", which I know is a lie because I paid for it to be an instant transfer. I have experienced fraud more than anyone else around me. Terrible experience with this bank!

I opened a new checking account with the promise of a $500 bonus after 3 months of meeting certain criteria for direct deposit. After 1 week I'm wondering if it's all worth it. The bank is a joke, nothing but issues so far. I setup my on-line backing ID and logged in when initially creating the account. Now two subsequent logins and each time it tells me my password is invalid and I had to reset it. Then I get an email telling me to log in an click the "Verify" button to confirm that the initial deposits (less then $1) were transferred to my old Eastern checking account. Bug surprise, when I log into on-line banking the is no "Verify" button or link. I've now been on a call with support for close to an hour with a customer support rep who barley speaks English been put on hold multiple times for extended periods only to be told in the end that they cannot help me and that I need to go to one of the bank branches to take care of this. Now I'm very skeptical that the $500 bonus will actually be paid, I'm just assuming that they will renege on the offer. I signed up with the promo code giving in the email offer but never received any confirmation that this bonus will be paid.

Santander is the master or customer disservice, and their people only read to you the company script. They appear to be pleasant in the way they really say fuck you Santander does what it wants and will not justify it to anybody! To be more specific, I went to the Weymouth Branch to deposit a tax refund check payable to my wife and I. She endorsed the check and I endorsed it and was trying to deposit it into my account at Santander. When I went to the drive up window, the teller told me she could not deposit the check into my account it could only be deposited into a joint account or she would have to be present to show her id. I said she's in NJ visiting her elderly sick father and that was not possible, so I said just add her to my account. They then said she had to be present to add her to my account. I then said to the teller/manager that I wanted that in writing and signed by the bank so I could explain the problem to the Mass DOR to get a new check. She told me that that was required by Federal regulations and Santander policy. Then she told me it was Santander policy that she would not put anything in writing and signed by any Santander person nel. I told her I was not moving from the window until I get something signed by the bank to present to the DOR. She threatened me that if I didn't leave she would call the police. The saga with Santander continued when the regional ,manager got involved and all they did was waste my time and refused any real customer service. I then left the bank and headed out to my next errand and on the way I say a TD BAnk branch, stopped at the window and less than a minute later the check Santander rejected was deposited into my account. SHAME ON SANTANDER BUT THAT PROVES WHY NOBODY SHOULD BANK THERE AND YOU SHOULD RUN NOT WALK, AND DON'T EVEN TRY TO GET CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

If I could give this HORRIBLE company -100 stars I would. I have called this establishment MANY times to make payments throughout the years and every. Single. Time. The customer service reps are INCREDIBLY RUDE. EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! You need to do better. If I could punch people through the phone, I would knock out every one of your employees. Cancerous and I will be telling all my followers (all 700k of them) about it. Hope you all die.

I really want to curse here but I will not. This stupid company caused my credit score dropped 96 points for an unbelievable stupid reason. I did not miss a single payment ever and it was all ruined because that that stupid autopay on their stupid website stopped working for 3 months and they flagged my report !!!!!! I started an auto loan with this company about a year ago, I did not know this company before, the car dealer asked me to use this company. I setup the autopay about a year ago. Then this year on June I found the my credit dropped 96 points and I then found out that my autopay just stopped working for 3 month already. I did not receive any notice that I missed payment and they just flagged me on my credit report. I immediately paid the whole amount and I called the customer service. I thought it will be easy since they can see clearly that my autopay stopped 3 month ago, all they need to do is just cancel the flag. But they replied that they are totally understand my situation so they will remove the late fee. BUT according to their stupid rules, it is not their fault, a late pay is a late pay, there's nothing they can do about the flag on my credit. I then calls the customer service to find out how to set up autopay on their stupid website. It takes almost 30 mins for they own customer service to find the autopay settings. I just received my dispute result. My credit increased 39 points but the late pay is still there. I got an late than 30 days payment record for no reason. I am going to dispute again this just makes no sense.
