Like others on yelp have said this establishment has just plain terrible customer service. I drove all the way from Rhode Island to the Boston store on MLK day only to find they had closed. No notice, nothing on the web etc.. I emailed explaining the situation and inquired about free shipping since there was no notice of closure and I traveled 50+ miles. I was told by the rep they checked with management and a sorry was all I got..... I could buy what I want from other retailers that offer free shipping but the whole experience/attitude has made me decide to not support this business...at all.

Do not buy gift cards from this business. Ordered one for Christmas on 12/16. Still no gift card on 12/24. This is not rocket science. Put card in envelope and mail. Of course that is if you are an organized business that cares about customer service. Otherwise you get a bad review in Yelp and you loose future business. I am pretty laid back but this was a Christmas present for my son who lives 1000 miles away. Very disappointed

Placed an order and a couple days later free shipping promotion is available. Called to request refund for shipping, but given stern no. Order has not yet shipped either. Looks like others have had a similar unsatisfying experiences over a nominal sum of money. Disappointing to say the least and leaves a bad taste in my mouth given the business me and my family have provided over the years.

Terrible service from the representative. Policies at Simon Pierce are not customer focused. I ordered two trees and paid for shipping because the total was not $ 500.00 . The following day they did offer free delivery but when I called asking if they would refund the shipping cost I was told NO. I tried canceling the order and was told that it couldn't be refunded until I received the delivery notification. I thought that was just wrong. I called again and this time found someone with a brain, and she did cancel the order. Called the Boston shore and reordered the trees I wanted. I got no confirmation information and after 3 call to VT store and BOSTON looking for answers the trees arrived. No happy with the service at all, not sure I will buy from SP again. Last year we spent over a thousand dollars at Simon Pierce.

If you want the worst and snobbish shopping experience go to this store. The 2 old balding guys treated me horribly. They acted like I was doing them a favor by shopping there. Also expect to pay for bags when they ask if you want one. They won't say they charge, just ask if you need one. Also when the ask if you want it wrapped for a gift, expect a horrible quarter inch white ribbon around the display box.

We were in the Simon Pearce showroom today for a tour. A lady in our group went into the restaurant and asked to buy a lemonade. She was refused service because she had no reservation! Bad customer service!

My husband and I went here tonight for dinner. Our last night in Woodstock. The service was great and I always love the pottery dishes and glassware that they make and use in the restaurant. We had an appetizer which was a short rib spring roll which was way too filling so we asked to have half of it boxed to go. Actually if I was a “high class” restaurant I would have taken it away and put in a container and brought back later rather than the waiter dumping it in a container at the table. Too sensitive? So my husband had braised short ribs which were very good but a little greasy. I had ravioli which was really awful. The description was “spinach and dried cherries, sage, brown butter and shaved Parmesan. So my expectation was that the ravioli would be stuffed with spinach etc. instead the ravioli was stuffed with sage and Parmesan and fried to the consistency of a hockey puck. Then they were perched on a bed of greasy spinach and red cherries. I was really disappointed and told the manager and he agreed with me. Hopefully they take this off the menu. Sorry Simon Pearce. But your place is beautiful!

I was shopping in the store recently during my lunch break, as I was looking for some of the lovely glass pumpkins for my living room. The quality of the glassware here is impecable, but one of the staff members at the store on Newbury Street rubbed me the wrong way. A young lady, with glasses and curly brown hair (they were not wearing name tags) was speaking down to the other coworkers and what appeared to be the manager. It was quite uncomfortable to witness this young woman belittle the people she was working with because things were not getting done the exact way she wanted them to. I love this store, but I do not like that they hire people that are so condescending and the manager did nothing to prevent this from happening.

My boyfriend and I visited the store in Quechee, VT. We both bought some nice glasses for a nice drink once in a while. Unfortunately one of the glasses we bought developed a crack all around the glass. This was clearly not a "dropped" crack, but a weakness in the glass itself (we don't even put the glasses in the dishwasher, we hand-wash them all). I brought the broken glass into the Newbury shop and asked if I could exchange the glass or even just get a small credit towards a new one. The response from the clerk was "no, we only guarantee wedding registry gifts". I pleaded my case as it was obvious this was a defect in the glass and didn't want cash, just wanted a glass that wasn't broken! She wasn't hearing any of it. This is a ridiculous policy for a product that is supposed to be the finest quality. I used to use Simon Pearce for all my glass gifts, unfortunately now I'll be seeking gifts elsewhere.
