Shops are not opened during posted hours. No vending machines either. If you punched for food, you will stay that way for your stay at Logan before 8 am or so.

When I first used BOS in the 80s, I thought it was one of the worst airports in the country. The facilities were dated, they were too small for the passenger volume, the services were disconnected (e.g., international luggage transfer) and airport access from the city was horrible. This list only consists of the things that immediately come to mind. But the State and Feds have made some significant investments, and BOS is a different airport today. Logan was opened in 1923, and is one of the few US airports located inside the city limits of the primary city of service. In 2019, the airport served over 42 million passengers, making it the 16th busiest airport in the US. There are four terminals and 102 gates serving more than forty airlines that connect Boston with 132 destinations in 36 countries. It serves as a hub for Delta and Cape Air. Airport access is much better with the tunnel finished. Bus service connects MTBA and train hubs. Taxi and ride share options are abundant. There is a Hilton hotel that can be reached by walkway from Terminals A and E. I have used this facility several times and have found it extremely convenient. Since Delta is my airline of choice, I am most familiar with Terminal A. The facilities in general have been nicely modernized. The check-in is adequately spacious and efficient. The security screening also works efficiently. There is CLEAR expedited security clearance available for those who are eligible and the pre-check screening service is a great convenience. The commercial services are quite good in Terminal A with five or six eating establishments and a handful of shops. There are a couple of ATMs. The Delta Sky Clubs are located just past security and in the satellite area. For passengers flying in, baggage claim is easily accessible. In general, I used to avoid BOS if I possibly could, choosing Providence, Manchester or even Worcester as alternatives whenever possible. That has changed. I now have no qualms using BOS, and find the experience positive and efficient for business I have in the Boston area.

I want to take a moment to reiterate my seething animosity towards this airport because it only grows with each trip here. As other reviewers have mentioned, the rideshare drop off/pick up area has been moved into a parking area for some reason. I found this out not because I took an Uber/Lyft to the airport, but because my dad, who was born and raised in Massachusetts, ended up dropping me off there because the exits for terminals are constantly changing. Just getting to the airport is like trying to navigate a maze. Since my dad understandably didn't want to drive around any more, I ended up walking a country mile just to get to my terminal. Police hover around drop off/pick up areas like they're the Secret Service guarding the White House. Never seen anything like it at any other airport. Last time I was at this airport, less than half of the food places were open. Hopefully you don't have the misfortune of ending up here hungry. As dated as the interior is, the place isn't a total eyesore thanks to some beautiful sculptures by local artists, as well as some photos and information about JFK and the space race courtesy of the JFK Presidential Library and Museum. In short, this is an airport you want to get in and out of as soon as possible, or avoid entirely if possible. That's assuming one of your flights does not get delayed by an hour and a half as one of mine did.

Terminal B is simply the best. The chairs are comfortable, ample social distancing space and the restrooms are big and clean. They could use more dining options, but my experience at this airport has always been positive. One other downfall is the Uber pick up spot is far from from the terminal. I rate this airport mostly based on restrooms and comfortable chairs and working space. Plenty of outlets and tables to get away from huge crowds. WiFi isn't too bad. There's lots of windows and it's really nice to sit right in front of one soaking up the heat and the views of downtown Boston.

I love how small this airport is. As soon as you come in the check in is right in front of you and to the left of you is TSA and because I am Pre-Check it is so easy and convenient where I just drop my items and walk straight through with no problems. When leaving TSA the walk is always short to get to your gate. I really appreciate that.

Great airport, one of my favorites. Easy to navigate, security is pretty easy. If you have a rental car, you have to take a bus from the rental car area to the main terminals.

Absolutely crappy airport experience. Logan used to be a great flying experience even if the airport interior itself was run down. The state has done a lot to improve the interior or Logan, and if you're flying through and not planning to leave the airport that's awesome. However, the taxi and Uber/lyft experience used to be highly efficient. Now expect a cryptic walk to walking tour of the airport for 20+ minutes to get to the obscene and obscure central pickup.

It's almost unfair to write a review for this airport. Typically there is so much hustle and bustle it's just unorganized chaos. This place was empty, literally empty the day after Thanksgiving. That being said what is fair to rate is the staff were all friendly and the airport is very well kept - really clean everywhere. Restrooms are kept up with also. I'd really like to travel back through here when things are a little more normal and see how things are once it's normal crowded. As for stuff that you can do while here...typical market places and a few places to eat (at least in our terminal) made it look and feel like other airports. Keep this in mind, this isn't a huge airport (at least the terminal we were in). They also had some great charging stations so you can play on your device and get a good charge for your upcoming flight. I would recommend this airport!

Even though JetBlue made me take out my extra 6 pounds of sweaters from my suitcase, only to carry them in a separate bag on the same aircraft , I still liked this airport for its vicinity to CT, RI & MA making my visit here super close to the main spots I wanted to visit. Passing security is a breeze since it's got a small airport feel with a big city approach to it. I found the waiting time at my terminal to be quite adequate in correlation to boarding time. Accessing the arriving and departing terminals are easy for tourists and locals alike due to its central location to the city. I found TSA to be quite helpful and expedient with their security checkpoint process which eased my time here tremendously. Boston, you have my attention:)

Boston Logan has really impressed me during the COVID 19 pandemic! I would certainly not feel worried about flying in and out of there. They have every other seat in the airport taped off to promote social distancing and everything is kept very clean!

Solid four stars, especially on the 'airport star rating system' which you know is different than a restaurant star system. Bathrooms are clean and the stalls are big enough for a suitcase. This is my biggest annoyance with airport bathrooms. Sometimes I think the bathroom designers forget they were designing an airport bathroom. Some of the women's bathrooms also have light indicators for which stall is occupied. Smart. I've done many a look-see under the door. The airport has pretty good signage but not everything is intuitive. Finding the rental car shuttle, or even knowing it's a shuttle, is a bit confusing. You have to follow "public transportation" signage and get on a bus that also seems like it's going to the transit center (because it is). The food options are surprisingly decently priced. And they and healthy options, too. During covid it was a self ordering screen. Rapid covid testing in terminal E. All in all, it's a good airport for US standards, no real complaints.

I use Logan primarily for international flights as I live in Rhode Island and can get most of my flights out of TF Greene. However, Logan offers more non-stop service and and the international destinations. I mostly travel to Europe (Munich, Frankfurt, Dublin etc) and if I want to fly direct in the US (Phoenix) Logan is the place. I've always enjoyed flying out of here. It's easy to navigate and to park. There's a nice large cell phone lot in case you're waiting to pick someone up. The people working here such as the TSA are very nice. The airport is clean and the signs around the airport are clearly marked and make it easy to navigate. Overall this is a good airport. I can't love it because the travel process can be cumbersome, but they make it somewhat a little more enjoyable and easy here to board your flights. Also, the amount of airlines and destinations here makes this a wonderful place to travel out of.

Airport layout is fairly easy to understand especially when running from gate to gate. Some business have reopened post Covid but not all. Some airlines still aren't doing service onboard (drinks and snacks) so stock up on snacks before coming to the airport! Overpay for water or bring a bottle to refill! Don't go to walburgers it sucks!

If you don't HAVE to fly right now, DON'T fly right now... It's truly a bizarre experience.

Pretty good airport compared to others but it isn't perfect. A little messy but it works out in genral. A big plus is that it's a Delta hub and Jet Blue focus city. Security is OK and as a aviation geek plane spotting is good. I'm not from Boston but I will say logan is pretty good.
