I normally just go to the self checkout cashier. No big thing to report. Oh! This location is very busy. Prepare yourself to wait in line.

I wrote a review about my bad experience yesterday at this stop and shop calling them out for the services and lack of customer service in poor areas, and somehow it was deleted. I'm not surprised stop and shop reported it because it was that negative. I took an uber there yesterday at 5pm and when I arrived the service desk at was closed...at 5:30pm on a WEDNESDAY. That would never happen in an area where people have money. I would know because I grew up in an upper scale area. When I asked why it was closed, they informed me they were short staffed, and they were extremely dismissive and rude, not acknowledging wasting my time and money. Another gentleman there was getting loud with them about it, as he was upset as well. He asked why they were closed, and said he had things he had to pay today, and the employee asked him sarcastically "what kind of things?", as if that was her business. In the case that no one is there to work the desk, the front-end manager or store manager should have been responsible for covering or had someone cover from another store. INCREDIBLE they went out of their way to delete my review but didn't contact me to apologize or at least acknowledge they NEED TO DO BETTER IN POOR COMMUNITIES. It's bad enough they charge more in poor areas, but then completely neglect our community and lack customer service. Do better. Thanks.

Only real positive is selection.-Astronomical egg pricing compared to every grocery store around.-Recent increases in chicken and other meats make this store well beyond a normal budget.-Stop and Shop brand charges more for same items of larger size. Simple business bulk pricing non existent here- maybe most consumers don't read orange price labels so they scam the average shopper? Seems rather suspicious.Overall- Amazon fresh with delivery to my doorstep is significantly cheaper. How- Im not sure.

I have shopped a couple of times and I have always had a good experience. Today it was bad. So Just today I bought 3small onions(1.29/lb) and I paid 5.4dollars for it . So while billing she added the weight of the next billed item i.e 14apples' weight to this. Also I couldn't access my stop and shop account on my phone, and I told her to access my account through her system and she said it can't be done. It's not good that a computer system that scans my account bar code doesn't have an option of accessing the same through my contact numberUpdate: I called customer care and they helped me solve this issue. Thank you Stop & Shop

One of the stores I other took to my grocery shopping. They have a large produce section and a good meat selection. I never have trouble using my rewards card. Decent sales.

Terrible experience today. Self check out line was backed up, only 2 lanes open and I waited over 20 minutes to get checked out of the "express" lane. Some employees were just standing around talking and not helping despite how backed up it was.Worst experience at a grocery store and will never be back.

Update: added a couple of stars. The lady at the self check out was surprisingly nice. The first review was about my experience with another employee. I now realized she was just having a bad day. There could be a bigger selection of meat specifically beef. I always seem to find what I am looking for.

This is the worst Stop and Shop I’ve ever been to. It’s super crowded and doesn’t have anything in terms of selection. I get that it’s likely convenient for students, but if you’re looking to shop for a household and need to stock up on things, avoid at all costs. Also it smells like sour milk in the cooler section which makes me question how clean it is.

I will die on the hill that this is the worst grocery store that I’ve ever been to in my entire life (and probably will ever go to). so thrilled to finally be moving away from Mission Hill so that I will not be tantalized with the proximity and forget it’s mediocrity. you’ll never find anything you’re looking for, the staff are extremely rude, and you’ll come with moldy food and never a cent saved because the god damned loyalty card never works. Congrats Stop n shop, you have made a lifelong hater out of me!

Some might remember when years ago the questionable, now long gone Calumet Market at Brigham Circle was the only option in the neighborhood so the addition of this large, modern Stop & Shop was welcomed with much fanfare. The store is clean, organized and well-stocked. However prices are SKY-HIGH. Those in the neighborhood who don't drive and don't want to lug groceries on public transportation are a captive clientele with no other convenient options.

WORST EXPERIENCE at the self checkout counter with the customer executive, an old lady stepheny i guess. She is so rude and treated us like as we are beggars. I have been to shop & stop many times they always provide good customer experience but now i dont know why they are hiring employees like this

Store is nearby and it's very easy to get here thanks to the nearby Green Line. Prices are kind of expensive for the products offered and the selection isn't super amazing either. If possible, go to Market Basket or Costco instead

I have been coming to stop and shop for over 3 months now, and today I took my baby girl for her first stop & shop run. She ate some juicy tomatoes and had the biggest smile on her little bitty face. I ain't ever been to a grocer so pretty, they welcomed me with open arms and le-

This store doesn't have a good variety of food and they're overpriced. How do you have fruit like cherries available in the Winter but not in the Spring? It just doesn't make any logical sense to me. Also some of the fruit here doesn't taste like it's supposed to taste. Some of the fruit here tastes like some sort of chemical. It's very alarming and concerning! The only reason why I even go to this supermarket is because it's convenient to travel to and back home. I may have to find another grocery store to shop at from now on.

I have never left a review on google before but feel compelled to do so after my last few visits to this stop and shop. Being a large chain and the only major grocery store within a half mile, I would hope that this stop and shop would be an accessible and affordable place to do my grocery shopping, but that is patently not the case. At this stop and shop, you pay more than anywhere else in Boston for significantly lower quality. For example, limes are $1 and are very small and often old, whereas limes are as cheap as 10 cents in other grocery stores for much larger size and better quality. But this is just one example. Produce from stop and shop is consistently bruised, old, and sometimes rotting. It feels insulting that the prices are so ridiculously high on top of these quality issues compared to other grocery stores in Boston. Even looking around for an unripe and unbruised fruit or vegetable is difficult because the vast majority of their produce is so low in quality and freshness. This problem doesn’t apply to just produce. Their selection of meats is laughably small and low quality. There is no butcher in store so I understand that prepackaged meats tend to be less fresh. With that said, I have seen on multiple occasions rotting, dark brown meat that you could smell through the package, priced at a discount even though it was clearly risky to eat. The selection is ridiculously small too. They have a wall of chicken thighs from multiple overpriced brands but they have less than 10 pieces of beef steaks all in the same exact cut. They have a decent selection of Caribbean foods, but you’d be much better off just going to Tropical Foods for this and would have access to a wider and fresher selection of meats and produce. On top of all these issues with quality, their labor practices are questionable. They tend to have 1 or 0 registers open even at peak hours and have even gone so far as to turn some of their closed checkout lines into self checkouts which feels alienating and weird as a consumer, and allows them to cut down on paying cashiers for hours they would spend working these aisles which are far superior to self checkouts. It seems that despite inflation, stop and shop could certainly afford to pay for workers to man these checkout aisles with the exorbitant price increases that greatly outpace the rate of inflation. Do your wallet and the community a favor and just go to tropical foods or any grocery store in Chinatown. This place feels like a scam.
