Place was cute, room was extremely tiny and could barely move around without honestly walking into each other. Let alone the $200 hold that they still haven’t given back. I can’t understand the issue. I’ve called multiple times and they said they released it. At this point it’s been a month and I just kept being told I need to drive and hour to go back for a piece of paper. They won’t send it through mail or email it. That area is a no parking area so I’d have to pay for a garage just for that and it’s not like I need to be down there again. It’s cute but I honestly wouldn’t go back.

Without a doubt, the best decision I made was booking a stay at the Godfrey. I wasn't expecting perfection due to the amount I paid, but what a shock when I arrived! Beautiful lobby, wonderful staff and fantastic room with a lovely street view. Factor in its great location, excellent restaurant next door, gym, free bottled water and snacks in room, and this was one of the best stays for a business trip ever! I will be making all future bookings here when I travel to Boston!!

A hidden gem. I expected very little from this hotel, but it exceeded all expectations. A very friendly welcome at check in, free water and coffee/tea in the room, a voucher for a free drink at the bar, a super clean and polished room, excellent bathroom, I mean what else would you possible want? Will stay here again next time I am in Boston.

Outstanding hotel! Perfect location and the most accommodating staff. Booked from Florida and the communication was impressive. The staff went above & beyond to ensure my better half was comfortable and fell in love with my hometown. Thanks to all! ?Nearby activities: Centralized around parks, shopping, restaurants, and theatre

At 8:00am housekeeping went door to door yelling "HOUSEKEEPING!" Then instead of propping open the doors to the rooms they were cleaning, they let the door smash off the bar lock over and over again.

So rare that you find a this level of execution in the hotel industry. For starts, the staff are ALL very warm, nice and highly professional. So impressed from the door to the housekeeping to the front desk, everyone made you feel like you were an important guest. The hotel itself is clean, nicely appointed.Bed was comfortable, bathroom fully functional and easy to use if typically small as city hotels tend to be. We really enjoyed out 1 day/night at the Godfrey and recommend it completely. Location is a block from Boston Commons, a short walk up Beacon Hill to head toward Quincy Market or the North End, another short walk in the opposite direction to the shopping area of Newbury St.Thanks Godfrey staff for making our staying enjoyable.

5 stars for value and staff. Good small/medium hotel in the middle of the Downtown Crossing area. Staff are uniformly friendly. Our room was medium sized and quiet, but a bit dark, and it only faced an air shaft. The check-in person represented accurately, saying that the rooms facing the street are brighter but smaller and more exposed to street noise. They don't charge for snacks in the rooms, and give you several free drinks at the bar upon arrival. Elevators are quick. Internet was good, but appeared to have a streaming blocker installed. The location is super central: many things are within walking distance, and being close to the nexus of the major "T" lines makes getting places by public transport very easy. The only drawback is that this area has a lot of street people (by East Coast standards). I would ordinarily give this place 4 stars, but considering the price paid, which is quite low for this area, and the friendly staff, I'm giving 5.

A great hotel close to many attractions in Boston. Yes, the rooms were smaller than average but we didn't plan on being in the room much. The staff were always friendly and made us feel very welcome. The free snack bar and water was a nice touch. There's a subway line very close by which gets you basically anywhere.Rooms: Smaller than normal but clean. Bathroom door is a sliding barn door so some may not feel it's enough privacy.Nearby activities: Macy's across the street. Chinatown and Boston common a few blocks away.Walkability: A few blocks away from Attractions and public transit.

Attention to the details, the little things, free water and snacks in the room, hot cocoa in the lobby after 8pm, rooms are great (not huge, but clean and very comfortable). And the price in downtown Boston (theater district) is AMAZING!Rooms: Clean and very comfortable, beds were greatNearby activities: In the middle of the Theater district, perfect!Safety: Police presence, hotel and theater personnel around at night,...so great!Walkability: In the middle of downtown!Food & drinks: We had great coffee at George Howell cafe, dinner at Ruka, both amazingNoteworthy details: Convenient, the personnel were friendly and outgoing, and everyone was so helpful
