Pet Shop is a very knowledgeable and helpful independent pet shop with a great selection of freshwater fish, including flower horns, Jack Dempsey cichlids, and arowanas. The animals look healthy, happy, and well kept, with tanks that have many hiding spots. The owner is caring and thoughtful, taking time to hand pick items and give a full history and care steps for each animal. The shop's own friendly dogs and sweet cat are very loving and playful. While the store is small and some tanks may seem questionable, with spider webs and dust, the focus is on the deep care for the animals. The collection is cool, including bugs and underwater frogs, and the priority is ensuring pets and humans are well matched. It is a lovely place where the animals receive a lot of attention.
Although the shop and tanks aren't in tip-top shape, the variety of fish carried here is very unique. Last time I stopped by they were selling neon blue gobies. Just the surprises that you can find here make it worth a visit if you are in the area.

My son walked in and fell in love with Hera, the shop kitty. She sat pretty while he played the harmonica. The gentleman at the front was lovely to chat with.
