Dear people who are looking to form a union. I've been a employee of Trader Joe's for 9 years. We do not need or want a union. I'm in my 60's and I've had great jobs my whole life making 6 figures. Even though I'm not making that at Trader Joe's salary wise, when you take Into consideration of the excellent pay along with the insurance, pay increases and there contributions to your 401k I wish I would have known how wonderful this company is a long time ago. I've would have been here for 25 to 30 years if I knew what I know now. Trader is as close to being the perfect company then any other that you can find. If you don't like it here why not seek employment somewhere else. For those of us who love this company we are fine. I've spoken with people who have been in a union before. 30 years to be exact and they work now for Trader Joe's and they stated that it is not worth it. I love Trader Joes and I am happy with everything that they do. Seek employment elsewhere if you are not satisfied.

I came all the way from the distant lands of Seattle to visit TJ's headquarters.I used to think that TJ's was a bougie capitalist affair BUT my gf showed me the true beauty of a good TJ's run. You walk in, and are instantly surrounded by the gorgeous and very reasonably priced flowers and other plants. You then proceed to the milk section, where you discover that rare selection of Kefir and cottage cheese, which are hard to come by in other lesser stores. Lastly, you find yourself in the cheese section with its vast selection of cheap BUT delicious cheeses, on par with a 200-hundred-year-old hole-in-the-wall Italian outlet, which doesn't have a street sign outside because they have enough business brought by the locals. To summarize, I like TJ's impossible meat. Keep it up

I have two reasons to go to Trader Joe’s, no matter the location.1. I love the innovative products, like the Horchata ice cream, WOW.But my 2nd reason could be first:2. It is the employees and the atmosphere in the stores.‼️ I go quite often even when I don’t need anything specifically, or anything at all. It’s like going to a family reunion, with relatives that you like! They greet you with absolute unforced sincerity. No matter the department, they help you find an item on the other side of the store, escort you to the item. The list goes on and on.Happy employees seem to be contagious, because the shoppers drop all pretense and become a happy TJ family, and they become helpful. All that I am saying is TJ’s has the perfect customer service formula. My shopping experience today was in Tucson, Arizona, at the store on Oracle and Magee

Please stop training employees to ask customers how they plan to spend the rest of their day. Better to just say "I hope you have a good rest of your day." I feel it's TMI to ask me what I'm doing plus the person behind me doesn't need to know my business. I enjoy shopping at Trader Joe but it's like I need an itinerary to shop there now. I live in Gilbert AZ. Employees are trained to ask this question and it has become annoying. I would give a 5 star or more except for this obnoxious habit. Obviously corporate is requesting this of it's managers to train staff. So what if I turn the tables and ask them to give me an account of what they are doing after work? Ridiculous right??

Starting a week ago Trader Joe's stores in my area have been out of dogs premium lamb meal and rice formula for dogs, 8 lbs bags. TJ bar code number 00932455. According to store manager at the Clifton NJ store it wasn't “orderable†and they couldn't give me a time frame or reason for why and when it would be back in stock. I called TJ corporate offices and was directed to speak to a product specialist who after numerous unsuccessful attempts to find the correct product and lots of confusion finally was able to find the right SQU by bar code only. Apparently TJ doesn't have any idea on when this dog food would be back on the shelves. After all the time I spent on the phone with a very uninterested and unmotivated to help me specialist I asked to be transferred to her manager. I left a super clear message asking to give me a call, but to this day that manager didn't return my call. It's been a week. Now, the core: any dog owner knows how difficult it is to find the right food for your pet. You also know how painful it is for the dogs to have their food switched. It's a real process followed by diarrhea, stomach issues, skin issues and other health problems. I am sure TJ knows all the above and chooses to remain negligently silent regardless of the problems they are creating. My advise to them is: don't be in dog food business if you don't fully understand the idea or can't handle the accountability part of business. Dogs can't wait as they don't get variety like humans. You can't afford to have production interruptions without having contingency plan that actually works for dogs and their owners. Still waiting for TJ managers to reply.

Until they stop selling pork that's kept in crates their entire lives I will no longer shop here. The poor pigs cannot move at all. Banned in most states as inhumane.

My friend (who is from India) just had an awful experience at the Trader Joe's on Memorial Drive in Cambridge, MA. The cashier (who might have auditioned for "Duck Dynasty") wouldn't bag his groceries. He had no problem bagging the items for the white customer ahead of my friend. The cashier just glared and asked my friend, "When you going to start bagging?". He then explained that it was store policy for customers to bag their own groceries when the store was busy. There was ONE other customer in the line. (and this is NOT store policy). My friend refused and the cashier mumbled, "Well I suppose I can bag these for you. Now did you want the cold items in a separate bag? Should I place these crunchy items on top? etc. etc. etc." Ya know I'm just trying to get it exactly how ya like it, okay?" What a schmuck. This was actually the THIRD time a TJ cashier curtly told my friend to bag his own groceries. That's two cashiers at the Memorial Drive store and one at Coolidge Corner. He left extremely distraught. He did speak to an employee outside the store who apologized, said she would speak to the cashier and asked if he would like some flowers. He declined. She did not invite him inside to take his info and complete an incident report. Nether did the store manager who my friend called later until my friend insisted that a report be filled out and gave his name and phone number. These things are happening on a regular basis in Greater Boston - I've heard so many terrible stories from other South Asians. And now the racist toxin has come to Trader Joe's - which used to be my favorite supermarket.
