Dishonest and Disappointing Experience with Trend Boston:
I’ve been a loyal customer of Trend Boston, having purchased five pairs of shoes from them just this year alone. However, my recent experience has left me frustrated and angry, feeling completely cheated by their dishonest behavior.
I recently bought a pair of ON shoes from Trend Boston, as recommended by the salesman. Despite always wearing a size 10, he convinced me to go down to a 9.5, assuring me they would fit perfectly. After just two days of use, my toes were hurting, so I returned to the store to address the issue. They assured me it wasn’t a problem and directed me to their main store at the end of Newbury Street, saying that Terry would sort it out.
When I got there, Terry told me he couldn’t help but mentioned that ON is typically very accommodating and showed me the contact page to reach out to them directly. I followed up with ON, but they categorically stated they couldn’t exchange the shoes because they were purchased from a retailer.
This is where Trend Boston’s dishonesty becomes clear. They lied to me—twice. First, when I went back to the original store to raise the issue, and then again when I visited their main store, wasting more of my time. When I returned to Trend Boston after being refused help by ON, they simply shrugged, walked away, and refused to take responsibility. No customer service, no accountability—just complete disregard for a loyal customer.
I expected much better from a store I’ve supported for years. Instead, I’m left with an expensive pair of shoes that don’t fit and a strong sense that this store doesn’t care about its customers. Buyer beware—Trend Boston will happily take your money but won’t stand behind their products or services when something goes wrong

I found TrendBoston to be a substandard operation, not worthy of an upmarket location like Newbury Street; more like belonging to a fleamarket. The initial purchase may be OK (although beware that their two locations on Newbury Street may have different prices for the same shoes!) and they do carry some of the popular brands. However, aftersales treatment is mediocre and stressful. Try returning shoes the next day even if you have not worn them. They point to a cheesy little crumpled sign behind the register that says they don't refund money; only store credit. If you insist (which you should) they come up with lots of bogus excuses, which insult your intelligence. You are better off shopping elsewhere for same shoes at same price with less stress.

Poor service.
First, I didn't pay much attention to the poor service provided by the staff in the comment section, but the after-sales service after I bought the shoes was really disgusting.
Their boss is so scary. they are service is so bad. Just look at me as a little girl and threaten me. I said I fell seriously while wearing their shoes and wanted a refund, but they didn't apologize and just said the shoes were dirty and couldn't be refunded. Their service attitude is too poor. Even if you can't refund, at least apologize, right?
I can't believe the impolite man in front of me is the owner of this shop. It's my first time encountering a boss with extremely poor service.
I can choose not to return the item, it's okay. It's also okay to give you money, It doesn't matter if I give you alms . The key is that the service attitude makes me feel extremely bad.

Decent store, but one of the staff greatly ruins the experience of Open Newbury during their sidewalk sale. Constantly yelling “On-Cloud, just $89, On-Cloud $89” for 4+ straight hours is a terrible look, especially when their shoe sale table is already packed with customers.

The staff were extremely helpful! I needed new shoes during our vacation and they helped me find something to fit my swollen feet (6+ months pregnant), found the color I wanted at their warehouse, and then had them delivered. They truly saved my vacation. Many thanks!

The staff were very rude and unprofessional. They need to learn how to treat customers properly. I would rather buy from other stores or directly from the official website.

Probably the best service I have experienced. Adri the own is so understanding and helpful. I wanted a pair of OnCloud sneakers and she got me cooked on the Cloud Monsters! I’m so happy with my purchase and the customer service is 10/10! Highly recommend

Terry the Manager and Owner were Courteous and Knew about The Products. One Woman showed some sneakers but needs more knowledge about the sale. Another Girl was Disrespectful!

The store is not upfront about its return policy. The policy is not posted in the store and only appears of the receipt after purchase, at which time it says exchange or store credit only, no refund.
