Sent a postcard and they charged $1.70 for a stamp. it should’ve been like 70 cents. The employees are mind numbingly slow and there is always a wait and a long line

Janice is insufferable, rude, and unprofessional. She's bad at her job and treats people like trash when they ask for help.

I had my online orders mixed up with the address. Seller sent to Jamaica Plain instead of Brighton. After waiting weeks and calling several; I went to the Jamaica Plain office. I met Keith, he is the most wonderful post office staff I have met all my life. He was so concerned and attentive. He helped rectify the error and even gave me the office number to call if the problem persists. Within 24 hours Keith called me back to come pick up my package from the post office. I am super grateful to him. God bless your kind heart, Keith. Thank you so much for your service.

I’m not sure who is at fault, this location or USPS as a whole but I mailed my wedding invitations on Feb 14 at the Centre St location. My wedding is in May. It is now April 6 and there’s at least 30 people who have yet to receive their invitations. Some just got theirs yesterday. Wedding invitations are so expensive and time sensitive. I am disappointed in USPS and would not recommend sending important documents with them unless you’re having them tracked.

This really is one of the worst post offices I’ve ever had to deal with. They regularly misplace packages. Do everything possible to avoid having to wait in line here. Wait times can exceed an hour even if there are only a few people ahead of you. Concerns have been shared in the community that this branch may have issues with fraudulent employee behavior.

Working on 35 minutes to mail a package and letter. Staff no sense of urgency as the line builds up. Just lallygagging along.

The worst customer service, it was such a HORRIBLE experience !!! I thought it will be better here, since it’s in Jamaica plain - But No !!It’s the Haitian lady at customer service with a very nasty attitude, was on her cell phones/Bluetooth earbuds talking (creole) and not even attending to my needs after I had to wait for her more than 20 minutes in line. I’m was trying to explain to her that wasn’t sure about the zip code and needed help to send my package OMG !! that’s when it all started, she got very upset and started humiliating me and very offensive.. and off course I didn’t stay quite!! I’ll never go back to this place!!

The Indian who works there did not want to submit the American passport application to my son, even though he had everything ready and having arrived 3 minutes before three. very bad service from him. I had everything ready, photos, documents, filling out and everything. I'm not going back there nor am I familiar with it either.

Absolute trash customer service (as you would expect from USPS). They lost a package and I called to track it down and they left me on hold for 40 minutes

After some really terrible interactions at other locations, I walked in expecting more of the same. Not only was Katie fast and helpful with my transactions, she took the time to talk to me and other patrons about the USPS. She shared her experiences and generally brought the small town, human touch that's been missing from USPS counters lately. She brightened my day--and that's priceless.

Never have I ever heard that if your name isn't on your mailbox that you don't get your mail. Why is this a requirement? My mail is addressed to the address so deliver it. When I went in to the post office to confirm my change of address they never told me that they won't be delivering my mail without my name on the mailbox. Seems illegal. I've lived in dozens of places and this is the first time that a post office has withheld my mail because my name isn't on the mailbox. There's no federal requirement for this. And they aren't able to tell me where my mail is. Do they hold it or return to sender? They can't even answer that. They don't even know their own policy. Extra illegal. If any lawyer reads this, I'll be happy to sue the 02130 post office.

Came in to ship 1 package and waited roughly 25 min before I got to the counter. The self service machine was not working so you could only wait for someone to assist you. By the time it was my turn, the staff member collected his money drawer and said someone would "hopefully" be out soon. There were 10+ guest including myself in line staring at a counter with NO STAFF for 20 more min. Not even a supervisor came out to speak or assist anyone. Most of us had to leave because we had to get back to our jobs. Overall it was a tremendous waste of time and could have been handled better with more communication and floor presence from the staff.

Three people behind the desk, none of them helping the 10 customers in line. I waited 20 minutes and then left. I'm at a loss for words.Previously came here and completed a change of address that they apparently never submitted. Lost a bunch of mail as a result.Do not come here. Traveling to any other post office is a better use of your time.
