I didn’t get the name of the person but the cashier had asked me to repeat my question to her because she was on the phone via Bluetooth AirPod 🤣 I had to repeat my question because she wasn’t listening to me the first time. And then asked me to repeat my question as if I was bothering her 🤣 what? The person she told to hold on was named Tony. Why do I know their name? because the cashier told them to hold on because she was listening to Tony that was talking to her thru the AirPod instead of listening to me, the customer 😂

It’s so hit or miss with how you’ll be treated here. I originally left a five star review, but I have been back multiple times and treated just like all the other comments say.

I was at the post office today and witnessed a really upsetting situation. A young woman was trying to pick up her package, but the older lady working there was incredibly rude to her. She kept cutting her off, refusing to look at her tracking number because it didn’t start with a nine, even though the young woman kept saying it started with a four. The employee wouldn’t even let her show a picture of it. The young woman stayed polite the entire time but eventually started crying and left without her package. It was heartbreaking to watch. The worker, who wore glasses, refused to give her name. No one should be treated that way, especially when they’re just asking for help. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE.

I had one of the worst experiences of my life at this USPS location. The employee in the picture I took was extremely rude—so much so that I walked out in tears. I went in for help with a package that my tracking number showed as delivered there, but instead of assisting me, she was dismissive and unprofessional.
She repeatedly told me that the tracking number “should start with nine,” but never explained that she meant I should start reading it from the nine. When I tried to show her a picture of my tracking number, she ignored me and kept cutting me off, repeating, “It starts with nine, it starts with nine,” before moving on to the next customer.
When I asked for her name to report her, she refused to give it to me, saying, “The manager will know who I am because I’m the only one working at this time.” That’s why I took a picture—if she hates her job that much, she should quit instead of taking it out on customers. She has no idea what people are going through, and there is no excuse for treating anyone that way. From the moment I walked in, I could feel her negative energy.
I hope USPS addresses this because no one should have to go through an experience like this. God bless this lady—she clearly needs help.

I should have believed the reviews. I came in for a passport application delivery. One lady is very rude , customer service is lacking & no effort to be friendly.

If it were possible to give a negative rating, I would. Their customer service is severely lacking. They are more skilled at arguing with customers (which, unfortunately, was expected) than addressing concerns, even when the customer's information is correct. I strongly advise avoiding this location for US passport walk-in services.

This has been the Post Office for my PO Box since 1993. Good Ol' Astor Station and it continues to provide quality customer service consistently and even the newbies with a smile 😌
