“I’ve been bringing my dogs to JP Animal Clinic for almost 3 years, and I’m only leaving because I’m moving away.
Every vet - Dr. Levine, Dr. Marks, and Carter - we’ve seen has been incredibly knowledgeable and great. This practice does not push unnecessary tests or treatments. The docs will walk me through their thought process and always present options, walking me through decisions in a way that feels collaborative and supportive. They’ve helped us through everything from smaller issues like fleas and post-flea dermatitis to much more serious diagnoses like mast cell tumor and Cushing’s disease. The wait for appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgery is not long. They’ve also gone out of their way to help me find the most cost-effective ways to get my dog a particularly expensive medication. Through it all, I’ve felt confident that my dogs were receiving excellent evidence-based care.
Most importantly, when my dogs walk in, everyone knows them and is genuinely excited to see them. That kind of warmth and familiarity means so much.
The only real downside is parking — it can be a bit tricky in JP— but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of care.

“From the 1am phone call immediately followed by a visit. My fiancé and I felt that our old pup was in good hands. I am especially appreciative of the fact that they didn’t encourage us to do any bloodwork or anything extra since they felt pretty strongly that the symptoms our pretty girl had would subside. Our girl had signs of “old dog” syndrome and happy to report that within a day and a half she appears to progressing. I believe they hit the nail right on the head. “This place is the best. We are first time dog owners, and we have no idea what we are doing. Everyone we have interacted with at South Bay, from vets to techs, has been so helpful and knowledgeable regarding our puppy, particularly around her recent spay surgery. We have met 3 of the veterinarians (Dr. Wosko, Dr. Frye, and Dr. Bower) across both locations, and they have all been excellent. Highly recommend this practice for anyone with a pet in the Beacon Hill or South End neighborhoods!”
“We have 2 dogs that are frequent flyers at MetroVet. Everyone is so caring with my pups and always helpful with my many phone calls with questions. My dogs are very nervous and we’ve had experiences with other vets where I wasn’t allowed in the exam room or they just didn’t seem to care about my dogs being comfortable there. Here I get to stay with them and they take things slow at their pace and give lots of good treats. We also go right into the exam room and never have to deal with other dogs being too close to us which is also a plus. My dogs love the staff here! ❤️”

“Wanted to take this time and share what a wonderful and amazing place come together animal clinic in Dorchester at 155 neponset avenue one of the best animal clinics I've ever visited this week I lost midnight my cat after 20 years the compassion that the staff showed me that they will live with me forever had to have my 20 year old cat midnight euthanize because of health issues the owner Jennifer and Susie and Dr TSA we're so amazing and helping me let go of my beloved cat I could never repay not only are they affordable but also caring and compassionate please if you have any issues with your beloved pets make sure you call and take them to come together animal clinic you will not be disappointed tell them George recommended this place I have witness more compassion in an animal clinic that I have this week what the help of come together”

“Dr. Olga is extremely knowledgeable. Our dog was previously misdiagnosed and mistreated, but Dr. Olga was able to quickly and accurately diagnose him and provide the right treatment. Now he is healthy and doing great.
We also really appreciate that Dr. Olga does not recommend unnecessary procedures.
She only ordered the tests that were truly needed and was able to diagnose our dog efficiently. On top of that, her prices are much more reasonable compared to other vets in the Boston area. We are very grateful for her care and highly recommend her!”
“Dr. hatch is a god send. He is the best vet I've ever been to after 10 years going to various vets with my pup (including back bay vet where I had a terrible experience). He CARES. He treats you and your pet with concern, respect and attention. The office is good about communication too, always following up on appointments and provide me helpful service with getting peaches prescription filled. I also had a teeth cleaning with Dr. Cheryl E Cheung here for my senior pup who has heart disease and I felt they were very caring and attentive to her needs.
Also care is priced reasonably compared to back bay vet.”
