“As a new client with a sick cat, I was treated with kindness, grace and quality care for my baby. We were fit in the next day, the bill was reasonable and Dr Levine was fantastic. Excited to have found a new vet for my 2 cats.”

“Dr. Temple and her team are the best! I’m new to Boston and was yet to establish care for my dog Bentley before he started having problems with his teeth. Dr. Temple made sure I had all the information I needed to feel comfortable moving forward with a complete dental removal, as Bentley has a heart murmur. The office is clean, modern, & her staff is always friendly. On top of all this prior to visiting Bentley had a medical emergency. I called her office to see if they handled emergency visits, they don’t but gave me a great referral as to where I could take him until his appointment which was so helpful!!”

“I don't even know how to adequately thank Dr. Jeremy Gransky for his kindness and professionalism with our family. We lost BOTH of our dogs in 2021 to cancer and we were so devastated at the thought of their last act being taken to a sterile and scary animal hospital to be euthanized. We were so lucky to have found these guys. Dr Gransky has a bedside manner that I've never experienced even from human doctors. He tells you everything to expect beforehand, so there are no horrible surprises. He gives your family time to say goodbye as he waits outside in his car. He is just so caring and has figured out EXACTLY what grieving pet families need to start their journey without their pet. The office is so kind and helps make arrangements for cremation (if that's what you want) and they send handwritten sympathy cards and they make sure the cremation process is handled quickly and professionally. I simply cannot recommend these folks enough. We miss our dogs so much still, but instead of anguishing over how they had to spend their last hours, we can cherish the time they got to spend with us at home, feeling safe and loved. There is just no price you can put on something like that.”

“We take our two french bulldogs here and have had nothing but good experiences. With a breed that is prone to health issues, it's important to find a vet clinic that is attentive and listens carefully. That said, I've been to a handful of vets where you feel as though their #1 goal is to get you in and out as fast as possible. Not here! Our dogs see Dr. Evans and he is incredible - thorough in his assessment, cares about the well-being of the animals, and willing to listen to all of your concerns/answer your questions. The same goes for the vet techs and receptionists. Kind and caring staff through and through! Highly recommend bringing your pet here.”

“When I adopted my 2nd dog Niko (1.5 year old black American Labrador Retriever) from the MSPCA, they were located on the VFW Parkway across from what was then West Roxbury High School. At that time they had a decent practice with hopes to move and not only modernize, but enhance the client and experience. It was not long after that first visit (about a year or 2) that they had built their new building on Spring Street. Clean and spacious with an aquatic therapy pool. They graciously offered tours of their entire space. In 2010, I added Cadbury (chocolate English Labrador Retriever) and he and Niko continued to go to Ilene Segal, DVM.In 2015, Niko had passed and Cadbury and I moved to Framingham, where we parted ways with Parkway Vet due to distance and time. I regretted those years as we did not receive the same great service and eventually returned to Parkway Vet regardless of the distance. At this time we introduced Leanne Diese, DVM, to our newest member Mallow (yellow American Labrador Retriever). Dr. Diese took great care of my two boys Mallow and Cadbury and was very supportive during the untimely death of our youngest Mallow (age 7) due to sudden cardiac failure.Today, Cadbury (age 13) is still going as strong as a senior dog can go. The care and support of these two, Dr. Segal and Dr. Diese are one of a kind.Since 2018, and the various moves, I have continued to call Parkway Veterinary Hospital my home for care of my family.Owning a dog is never inexpensive, but the guidance and care is priceless and I strongly recommend considering Parkway Veterinary Hospital your place for veterinary care of your cat or dog.”

“Can't thank them more! My poor little pup tore a nail, (wasn't sure at the time) just saw blood and ran 5 blocks. Couldn't have been more understanding and welcoming! Thanks again!”

“I’m so eternally grateful for the staff at Angell. My rabbit sustained a serious wound and within 5 minutes of checking in he was taken in the back and given pain meds to have on board while we were waiting for a doctor to take the case. That meant a lot to me!! I would like to thank Dr. Elena for saving my rabbits life as I walked in preparing to have to put him to sleep. She assured me I didn’t have to make that decision just yet. Dr. Elena explained every diagnostic/treatment she would do and why in depth. I never felt rushed off the phone and it was clear how much she cared. She even saved his leg! I also would like to thank Emily, the exotic care coordinator who kept me updated multiple times a day and sent me photos of my boy- it meant more to me than they will ever know. I was a wreck and it put me at ease. And lastly, his fantastic nurses who kept a close eye on him 24/7 in the ICU and took care of him. He’s not the easiest patient to deal with! After having hospitalized my other two bunnies at a different ER in the area in the past that has now stopped seeing exotics, I am blown away by how much better the exotic care and knowledge at Angell is and how cheaper it is. I will recommend Angell to everyone!”

“I took my elderly dog here for a suspected ear infection. The Dr. Was able to take a look in her ears, and with the symptoms I had described to him, he was able to treat her for an ear infection. The front desk was very friendly and professional. The vet was knowledgeable, but he did come off as either annoyed or stressed. My visit here was due to my dogs normal vet not being able to see her for a few days out, so I thought I'd give this clinic a chance. The office visit was free, and I was only responsible for paying for her antibiotic, which was wonderful. They are walk-in only, cash only and parking is very difficult.”

“I took Panda in today for itchy paws. My vet tech was awesome! I called yesterday to schedule an appointment and they were able to fit me in the next day. Has been going here since Panda was a puppy and I’m happy with the care ❤️?”

“Have taken my Boston Terrier here since he was a puppy. We see a different doctor at the same place now and both have been fantastic. My dog is always happy to go to the vet, they’re very caring with animals. I find the cost to be comparative or slightly less than other area vets. They performed his neutering and have dealt with some minor health issues over the years, he’s 6 now and perfectly healthy!”

“We were referred to this vet by a good friend who’s traveled 30-45 mins to get to West Rox. They were absolutely right for it. My anxious min pin had an amazing visit. The vet techs were immediately kind and knew his name, leaning down to give him scratches. The doctor was amazing. He immediately sat on the ground with our nervous guy and chatted with us. He was so informative and patient. Cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“As of early 2023, Dr. Sell, the reason behind all of the 1 star reviews you will read about, has left the practice.Since then, there has been a dramatic increase in the level of care provided at Charlestown Veterinary Hospital. Dr Ramsey takes more time with each patient and I do not feel dismissed when I bring my dog in for various reasons. The recommendations and care the new team provides is thorough and effective. The front desk team is courteous, knowledgeable, and I have never had an issue getting an appointment as an existing customer.Hopefully anyone who sorts reviews by "Most Recent" will see this before judging the practice based on previous owners. I am happy to have them as my vet.”

“The staff was super friendly. I was provided with an estimate before any services were performed. The Veterinarian was knowledgeable and explained things in layman terms.”

“I waited for a while when trying to check out before leaving, otherwise the visit was great. What I appreciated most about Angell is that they helped get my dog out safely since she is reactive to other dogs. The staff was very friendly and attentive to my dog during the visit. I was surprised that my bill was much higher than I anticipated.”

“My poor Susie needed to have two teeth extracted, it wasn’t easy going through with the procedure and it was really an unexpected cost. However, the staff were extremely attentive and the doctor was honest and caring. I have also noticed a huge improvement in Susie’s mood since getting the bad teeth out. Thanks for taking care of my Susie girl”

“Very sweet staff that were accommodating enough to get me in 24 hours after my dogs itchy paw started bothering him from his allergies. They were also very consultative on different vaccines for him during his checkup and clearly love helping animals. Highly recommend especially if your pup needs to be groomed as well since it's right next door.”

“We are so happy with our first experience with Charlestown Pet Clinic. We spoke with an amazing admin, Mary, who usually works with the Revere branch of Boston Pet Clinics. After going through an absolute nightmare with our local vet, (overpriced, never calling us back with answers to questions, constantly raising prices on meds and procedures last minute, never giving clear estimates on procedures), Mary was able to give us information on every question we asked and easily booked us an appointment for the very next day.I explained our situation to her: Our sweet puppy is bilateral cryptorchid (his testicles are up near his stomach), and every vet we have called was booking months in advance. Our current vet gave us an estimate of $2,800 and told us there was a good possibility it would be well over that price by the end of his surgery. Mary was so kind and empathetic towards us. She found all the information on pricing and was able to give us an exact price range, not exceeding $850 and including meds, a cone and a followup appointment. I was overjoyed. Our puppy would finally be taken care of without us being taken advantage of on pricing.”
