Shopping paper bags expensive than any other market in Mass .25 cent. I shop at this place many times and daily breakfast. It happend that lately while I eat my breakfast My last bite I noticed indide bread mouse poop that makes me throu out for what I saw. I step at the store and showed the store manager the peace of bread and pastry I was so disappointed that he didn't even apologize to me. No refund no action was taken. He only said it wasn't made at the market but they bought it ready from different Manufacturer and sell it at the store. That is gross because I noticed rats inside the store as well. I will not shop from there again. Ever.

I hadn't been in here because I assumed it was a cheapo store without quality products. I was very wrong. And the employees are about 100x better than what Stop & Shop is offering right now. I am making an effort to come here more often. :)

Gave it 1 extra star because it's a convenient store with items I usually need. The "manager" at night was being so rude when I tried to return an item that was 6 months expired!! He tried to tell me the month/date were backwards. When I showed him the same item with another date showing month/day, he caught an attitude

We come here for groceries all the time. It is not as specialized as Whole Foods or as wide selection as bigger supermarkets but it is locally owned, the staff is friendly, and oftentimes the selection is just what we need. The store also tries to bring in better options like: organic options; products with less or recyclable packaging; local products, etc. Overall, we are happy to support the Village Market!

Village Market is cheaper than most of our local groceries stores! Recently I did a comprehensive price compare between Village Market, Roche Bros, and Whole Foods and found that, despite being a independent grocery store, Village Market price beat on almost everything I buy consistently. I also love the local products they carry and I've discovered a bunch of great brands (hello, Phillips chocolate!). I wish they would increase their local offerings further (local frozen meat) and up their cheese game. And they could do with some serious reorganization of the store. Often I stand in the aisles know the thing I want is somewhere in the store but having no idea where. BUT. I'm so grateful they're here for us, they're affordable, and they really have pretty much everything you could need. Thank you Village Market!

They have a decent selection of stuff and the staff are very fast with always an open lane. No waiting no paying more for less nonsense with self checkouts that never work. {Why would you have a self checkout lane but have it closed?? That’s another question for star market or stop n’ shop.}The deli needs some serious rethinking but cheese, pantry and sweets are great in my opinion. Smaller store and the staff won’t ware your time with a smile or any nonsense. It’s like Beirut 1982 in there. You get in and then get right back out again ASAP. I would’ve given it 5 stars because it really is convenient and I go 3 or 4 times a week as I walk by. But….the fire alarm at the entrance has been beeping non stop for about 20 years. I’m guessing they don’t even here it anymore. It’s so weird it would drive normal person insane. Tiny tiny thing but long long time as well.

Had the worse experience at the cash register. There was a problem with my card and it didn’t go through. Instead of the young lady asking me to try it again she said “it didn’t go through because you don’t have money. Your card doesn’t have money.”Like what kind of customer service is that!? First, it’s rude and second how could she assumed that about the customer? If it wasn’t that this is the closest place I can shop without taking the bus, I wouldn’t go there anymore. The young lady was a blonde, tall girl who kept checking her phone in between customers.

Super convenient if you live in the neighborhood. If I've run out of something or forgotten an ingredient for dinner, it's just a 10-minute walk away.

Pretty good super market and easy to get to. They have all the essentials and a little more. Prices are fair and sometimes you will find a pretty good sale. Staff is friendly and help. Really not much else you can say.

Supermarket in Roslindale Square. Has some cute Albanian girls who sold me scratch tickets. Some prices are reasonable here so there are deals to be found. Parking is limited on the side of the building which might be the biggest downside to this place.
