Walked in with a group of four white people. That was our first mistake. Bartender insulted one man and refused service to the others. Definitely don't go here unless you already know the workers. They don't want your businesses and would rather chastize you until you leave.

Bartender was incredibly racist to multiple Asian customers who came in. We watched him target specifically Asian customers, telling them that if they don't buy more drinks then they had to leave and kicking them out. This was after they already bought multiple drinks that night. Would not recommend supporting a business who treats people like that

I called Wednesday morning to see if there was going to be any entertainment that evening.. the man that answered said there was going to be a band that night and it will start at 9:30-9:45ish.. he wasn’t even sure on a time. The man was unprofessional when he answered the phone, you would have thought it was just someone answering a phone call from a friend, not someone who owns a business. Me and my girl got there early, it was still closed.. other people were trying to get in behind us as well. No person in sight. That was about 9:15pm. We went to another lounge while waiting for the event to get started at 9:30. (Which the sign on the door stated 9:30). It was my birthday, I’m all dressed up and didn’t want to be standing on the street waiting.
We were going to head back around 10:30 but something told us to call before we called an uber and see if the show was still going on… we call and the man says “oh we’re actually going to be there Friday”…. Are you kidding me?!?!!
How disappointing and unprofessional
People are traveling from out of state to come to this establishment and you just decide “hmm not going to open today” just no regard to the people that organized their day to be there!! Definitely wasn’t expecting the night to go that way and we had a flight to catch the next morning. Just very disappointed with the lack of communication, professionalism. It’s sad that this was my first impression of such a popular historic place.

A small space so would recommend you try and get there early. Also, they only serve alcohol, no food. But you don't go to Wally's for food, you go for the jazz!! 🎶

Honestly it is such a shame that the bartender is so mean, it makes the atmosphere really uncomfortable, he treats everyone with disrespect.
The music was good and it's really cool that the bar supports young artists.

Stars are just for the music. Great live music but extremely rude staff!
It was our first time but I am surprised how people can still go there to deal with that rude bartender who forces everyone to buy drinks with high unexpected prices!!!! Even prices are not included on the menu to give you a choice of drinks. We paid $26 for one ginger ale and one small bottle of Prosecco excluding tips!

I visited on the 18th of June. Grrat atmosphere, It is a great little jazz club that started in 1947. The young band that was playing on the night were very good. Drink prices were a bit high, but as it was free to get in, it balanced out ok.

Honestly the only good thing about this place is the music. The well drinks/cocktails all cost $18, owner decided to end an hour and a half earlier than time listed on google and kicked everyone out. Also to stay in the venue you have to purchase something which is fine since there is no cover, but if the bouncer lets you in after last call they will kick you out.
