WXYZ Bar is a convenient and relaxed place to hang out and get some drinks, especially for hotel guests. It is a nice space and a nice little gem with lovely, attentive staff and good service. The atmosphere is fairly empty and relaxed, offering live music, games, and entertainment like a pool table and tabletop games. However, the overall experience with food and value leaves much to be desired. The food is marginal, underwhelming, and not great. The hamburger is disappointingly bland, dry, mealy, and has no flavor, with a bun that is dry and hard. Items like the pretzel appetizer, tater tots, and pita can be very salty, have an odd aftertaste, or seem old, stale, or frozen. While some items like the chicken quesadilla, jalapeño cheese sauce, and pizza are pretty good, delicious, or average to above average, other options like clam chowder and the burger are disappointing. The bar can feel overpriced, with drinks seeming steep. Some games and the pool table are in need of maintenance and appear poorly maintained. Service can be inattentive at times. While it is an okay place to unwind late without venturing far, there are many more options in the area.
Nice bar to hang out, get some drinks. Live music. Food was not great. Pretzel seemed to be a frozen one warmed up. Pita for the hummus seemed old or stale. The quesadilla was average to above average. Was cool to have games and entertainment in the bar area.
