Zipcar is a wonderful car sharing service and app. The main issues are other customers who are careless and do not follow rules or report vehicle problems. Cars are sometimes not clean or filled with pet hair. There is also a problem with updating a payment method. The service is great with no hidden charges, but cars need to be kept clean, gassed up, and returned to the correct spot.

    Total scam. They say it's within their policy to charge you even if the car isn't where it is supposed to be and then they layer on all these extra fees. Save yourself the headache and rent from a reputable place!

    My first @Zipcar experience was a complete disaster. Their EV died on the highway due to insufficient charge. We had to call police for rescue & pay for towing. Customer service PROMISED over a recorded call they’d reimburse us—then completely went back on their word. Save yourself the headache and avoid Zipcar.

    GREAT SERVICE, CAR SHARING AT EASE, ONLY COMPLAINT IS OTHER CUSTOMERS THAT DONT FOLLOW RULES. JUST KEEP IT CLEAN, KEEP IT GASED UP AND PUT IT BACK IN THE SPOT I GOT IT FROM AND NO HIDDEN CHARGES. THNKS ZIPCAR
