I worked at stop and shop as a kid and it was a great job. This was in the early 2000s and I’ve only seen the place become one of the worst supermarkets in the region. The self service scanners are outdated and never work properly, there are hardly any registers open, and the management ignores proper staffing requirements. I see why they are shutting down many locations.

Such a clean, well stocked store, it's getting pricey like most places nowadays, but this is the place to spend your money for the variety of items.

We visited this esteemed Stop and Shop during a quest to purchase animal food and various cleaning supplies. During the quest we encountered the infamous Stop and Shop Robot. Which scares me slightly. Despite this minor setback we endeavored to persevere and continued on our way. We successfully acquired the desired items and completed check out.
The staff at check out were incredibly friendly and pleasant.
We shall return here for our next quest.

It's so expensive now it's crazy. At least at whole foods you feel like you're supporting small and local businesses. I was looking for something a bit different or unusual and the only thing that was usually was the price of everything.

It's one of my favorite stores. They have a lot of Haitian products, and the people there, they are super nice. You can ask them any questions. Love them.

I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with the constantly malfunctioning self checkout registers. Poor management doesn't know how to maintain their machines. Sad that an otherwise decent store cant solve what would otherwise be a minor issue. Would have been a 1 star if not for the heroic customer service lady who was running across 5 self checkout machines trying to keep them all going. Nancy deserves a raise for cleaning up after ineffective or lazy managers. 20 minutes to check out a 20 item order is ridiculous.
