We recently stayed at the Candleberry Inn for a long weekend in July and LOVED our experience! We stayed in the Beach Rose room and the room and inn itself are so charming and well decorated. The bathroom is well stocked and newly renovated. The location is very central, easy to drive to the different areas of the cape and walking distance to a nice beach! Charlene and Eric (the owners) are so friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable during your stay. There are bikes, beach chairs, sodas, coffee/tea, and a cooler of ice cream treats to enjoy during your stay. Each day at 3 pm, a new freshly baked treat is waiting for you! Talk about a special touch! And last but certainly not least, the breakfasts are such a great way to start the day. Delicious food (and lots of it!) on a serene and peaceful patio. We definitely plan to come back!

The Candleberry Inn was the perfect place for eight of us who were celebrating a milestone birthday. The location in Brewster, MA was convenient, the breakfast delicious, and Charlene and Eric, the Innkeepers were amazing hosts. They made the stay really special. I'd definitely go back to this inn.

This is a most beautiful old Inn that is spotlessly clean and extremely well appointed.
The breakfasts are to die for. Creative, tasty, and beautiful presented.
Eric and Charlene were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

Top notch bed and breakfast with fabulous hosts, lots of thoughtful little details to delight guests. Charlene left us a bottle of prosecco on ice with a thoughtful card on our anniversary, and leaves baked treats every day for guests. We stayed in the Seacroft Suite in the original house, nicely decorated had a king bed in one room, a small sitting room, and a large bathroom. Each room has a small fridge they replenish with filtered water bottles every day. Breakfast is served from 8:00am to 9:30am daily. Beach towels, beach chairs, and bikes are available. While the bike path is not too far away would recommend bike rack and driving to trail parking lot because roads are windy and busy. Breakfast is amazing- custom breakfast menu daily with fresh fruit artfully arranged, omelettes, applewood bacon, and fresh baked scones a sample of what we had. We were sad to leave and are looking forward to returning next time we’re on the Cape.

Charlene and Eric are the most wonderful hosts, and they went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel at home. It’s hard to describe how charming this place is, it has to be experienced to be believed. The rooms are beautifully decorated, wonderfully spacious and super comfortable. The breakfasts each morning are just fantastic (best pancakes and french toast of my life), and Charlene bakes delicious sweet treats and leaves them out for each room every afternoon - such a lovely touch. We had an early start to Nantucket one day, and Charlene and Eric packed us up breakfast sandwiches and brownies to take on our trip, along with a lovely card wishing us a good day, which was so kind. I cannot recommend the Candleberry Inn enough, it really has been the highlight of our New England Road trip - we loved it so much we re-routed our itinerary so we could come back and spend our last 2 nights here. Thank you Charlene and Eric, we hope to be back in the future!

We absolutely loved staying here. The innkeepers, Charlene and Eric are the best -- they are so warm, nice and thoughtful, and they made us feel just like at home. They put so much care and love into everything -- the breakfasts and the delicious treats they leave out for you every night were such nice details. The rooms are clean, spacious and super comfortable. We didn't want to leave! And we will definitely be coming back!

The Candleberry Inn made our first trip to Cape Cod so special. Marco and Angelo truly put so much love, thought, and care into creating such a beautiful experience for everyone who has the pleasure of staying with them. The inn and rooms were immaculate and the breakfast and treats were some of the best we have had. We can’t wait to go back and are hoping to get their gluten free brownie recipe!

My husband and I just returned from our favorite place, the Candleberry Inn in Brewster on Cape Cod. If you love historic B&B's, do yourself a favor and make a reservation today. The hosts, Marco and Angelo, make us feel like the Inn is our second home and treat everyone like family. This year (our fifth stay at the Candleberry), when we arrived we found a delicious homemade cupcake in our room to celebrate our anniversary and Fred's retirement. ("Happy Retireversary!" it read.) Warm touches like this one are typical of Marco and Angelo's hospitality.
The five star hospitality is matched by the five star food offerings. Angelo is an aptly named chef and baker-- the Angel of the kitchen. His delicious creations are so beautifully plated that you hate to eat them. Artfully arranged fruit dishes precede the main course and are served either inside or out, depending on your choice. (I like to eat outside where their luscious gardens spill over the edges of the covered patio.) Each meal Angelo makes is a gustatory treat, from the savory breakfasts to sinfully good midafternoon treats of cookies, brownies, or cakes.
Marco is the "face of the place," so to speak. No one makes us feel more welcome than Marco each time we visit. He's patient and kind, and he generously gives of himself in any way we need. He personally inspects each room before our arrival to make sure everything is up to his standards, from the linens to the sparkle on the "jewelry" (the hardware in the bathrooms:-). The two men complement one another perfectly and make the Candleberry our Cape Place to Be.
This year we were surprised to find that all the rooms had new bathrooms installed. Each now has tastefully tiled floors and showers, and some even have soaking tubs! I love staying in an historic home but I am grateful for modern conveniences too.
Although the Inn is one of the oldest buildings in Brewster, it has every amenity necessary for 21st century living.
And although I can't give Marco and Angelo credit for Nature, the Inn's setting is perfect too. The Candleberry is within walking distance of a Brewster beach (and within driving distance of several other beaches), and supplies us with everything we need to enjoy the ocean views. Personally Fred and I love the Brewster Flats because of the spectacular sunsets and the expanse of open beach during low tide. If you like big, crashing waves, though, the National Seashore is a mere 20 minute drive away. EVERYTHING is within reach of the Candleberry, for that matter, yet there is none of the commercialism that mars the Cape's beauty nearby!
I could go on forever telling you about the Inn but you really need to experience it for yourself. My descriptions only do it so much justice. If I could, I'd stay there forever:-)
I can't wait to return.
Addition: Fred and I just returned from yet another vacation at the Candleberry: our 7th, I believe! Each year Marco and Angelo add a fabulous new touch to the Inn, and this year we were astounded by Angelo's renovation of the common sitting area. The furniture has been recovered to retain the historical atmosphere of the Candleberry, and Angelo also redid the entire ceiling in period style. I'm not an architect but Angelo's talent in his former field resonates throughout the entire room.
I don't know how Marco and Angelo do it, but each time my husband and I return, we find another thing to brag about regarding the Candleberry. We're becoming "those people," the ones who feel like they have a personal stake in the building and its grounds. Each year it feels more like our home away from home. I am ecstatic that we stumbled on this charming B&B even before it became "the place to be" on Cape Cod. What a stroke of luck on our part! Everyone should visit at

Beyond Outstanding
I recently spent my birthday at the Candleberry Inn and was beyond impressed. Not only was the property and my room beautifully appointed, the breakfasts were spectacular. The morning meals are culinary perfection beginning with the sunrise juice. Each course from the fruit to the main are exquisitely presented and absolutely delicious. The plating, the table settings, and the gorgeous view of the meticulously maintained garden with blooming hydrangeas are delightful. And tiny chipmunks running at your feet!! I stayed in the Cricket Room and slept perfectly on the beautiful linens and perfectly supporting mattress. Every detail is covered from the fabulous Malin and Goetz bath products to the glass bottled water. It’s wonderful to be able to take a cup of tea to your room in the evening and enjoy the delicious dessert treats that are prepared every day and designated to each guest. Not a detail missed! Thank you to both Marco and Angelo who are so personable and interested in each individual guest, and for the perfection that they have created.

We had a fantastic stay at this charming and unique B&B on Cape Cod. The location is beautiful and perfect for exploring the area. The breakfast was lovingly prepared and served – a true delight! We felt completely at home and would return anytime. A small suggestion: the hosts should consider creating their own cookbook – we would be the first buyers! ;-)
Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

This is a beautiful inn with wonderful hosts. We've been coming here since Angelo and Marco became the owners and it's the only Inn we've ever stayed at more than once. The constant attention to detail and Angelo's breakfasts and afternoon treats just make this an unbeatable experience.
Rooms: The rooms are nicely done, spa like baths, great internet and A/C
Nearby activities: Heritage gardens in Sandwich, Provincetown, the National Seashore. Chatham and local beaches.
Walkability: Close to beaches and historical sites. Central location for access to the rest of the Cape
