i have been a loyal customer of salvation army since my freshman year of college at bsu and i am now going into my junior year. recently they put up a new policy for their dressing rooms, i did not see that when i went and i did what i usually do and started to put the clothes into the dressing room. one of the workers saw and angrily came over and said “only six items.” in a very stern voice. i immediately put the items back in the cart and put (what i thought was) six items, she then again stated rudely that i had 7 items in the changing room. she was very rude and continued to stand there and stare while i kept dropping things and trying to get only six items in. i then shut the door and tried on my clothes. i felt very attacked and felt like she assumed i was going to steal something, i had not seen their updated policy and genuinely had no idea. i am definitely rethinking about going back to this salvation army in the future now.

The table and chairs I was trying to donate are in showroom condition and less than two years old. They are not Ikea products your employee seemed to be looking for a reason not to except the table. He also asked if the table was repainted.

* update * after not shopping here for 6 months I decided to see of thrifting was fun again. Ummmm, NOPE! Prices are sky high. The woman in the back who has the emotional attachment to the free inventory is rubbing off on her coworkers. Sad but true. Take a look at the items they feel are treasure. 🙄. Supposedly Brockton will be taking over pricing the inventory. I’ll keep shopping but choose other thrift stores. Bye BW. Good luck selling your overpriced merch. One of the regulars
Told me the Brahman bag has gone through 3 half off days. lol
Prices are very high for a thrift store. Y’all get your inventory for free. Make thrifting fun again.
Are you referring to competing with are retail prices? I am in your stores when employees are ragging items that didn’t sell & I look at what’s getting ragged out and it’s generally the overpriced items. Salvation Army can still make a very good profit keeping prices lower because people will buy more and you won’t be ragging out your overpriced inventory. Take a page out of the Goodwill price structure all sweaters are 4.99 All dresses are 7.99. Employees don’t get attached to the inventory. Make thrifting fun again.

They are to help those who don't have much purchasing power to purchase products at very low prices, so those who can't go to big stores to buy new things can get used products at a low price. May they continue to target this large population, especially in times of global crisis. CONGRATULATIONS

Very clean. Racks are neat. Wednesday is family day. That means 50% off certain color tags. Easy to make drop off around the back.

Brought a pretty decent kitchen hutch to donate. Was informed it wasn't good enough for them. It had light scratches on the very top. Never again will i donate anything to them.
