Some key information: They only let you access your unit during their business hours, no after hours access. A word of warning, only rent from Cubesmart if you plan to stay short-term because they raise the rent every 6 months. Before you know it, you will be paying 3x what new people are paying, and they refuse to give good tenants any concessions. Furthermore, when you move out, they won't prorate the rent, like their competitors do. Thus, even if you know in advance that you are moving a few days after your renewal and you give them notice, they still charge you for the entire month! To make matters worse, they will rent out your unit as soon as you remove your lock, even though you paid for the entire month! If you don't set up automatic payments, they charge you a 2% service fee every time you pay. One thing that really irritates me is they put bright red stickers on your personal lock, which are next to impossible to remove. They don't let you use their dumpsters, even for dust when sweeping out your unit. They expect you to take it with you. Depending on who is working, they let one customer use as many convenience carts as they want, so you have to wait even if there are only 2 of you in the facility. Finally, the dumb waiter elevator is exclusively for cargo, so if you happen to get a unit on the 2nd floor, you have to run up and down the stairs to load and unload your belongings. Also, wanted to mention the numerous rat traps around the facility. Don't plan to store anything that attracts rats or it may not survive storage! Other than that, I found the storage attendants to be pleasant.
