Just left here. Wanted to buy a black plate but it had a scuff on it that the cashier brought to my attention. Told the cashier that I would choose another plate. Went and got another plate. She still charged me for the black plate but didn’t give it to me. I kindly went back into the store and brought this to her attention. I wasn’t asking for a refund, I just wanted the black plate because I paid for it. I honestly didn’t want the hassle of the $1.25 refund so I decided I’d just take the damaged item home. She literally argued me down about it!! She said “no, I exchanged it” and I said “no you didn’t” and pulled out the receipt that clearly shows she charged me for both plates. She continues to argue with me about it. At the end of this weird exchange, she said “so do you want the plate?” And I still remained sweet and said “Yep!” and she rolled her eyes! Lady, I get it, I wouldn’t want to be 75 years old working at Dollar tree either, but that’s not my fault. Please be nice to your customers, especially when they were nothing but courteous and sweet to you, regardless of your careless errors.

A few years ago I would have recommended this Dollar Tree over the others, however, lately it has been completely picked over and it is never organized. I go to the Dollar Tree on a regular basis and haven't had a positive experience with the one on Montello for a while. They have items in boxes that are mixed together and sitting in the center of the aisle, say you have to maneuver around everything. Not only that, but there isn't anybody working to stock the shelves from whatever is in the box either. It seems like it was delivered and the employees just opened it up and stuck it in the aisle. Quite disappointing. Do yourself a favor and head over to the Dollar Tree on Belmont Street instead. Even if you live closer to Montello, it doesn't do you any good if they don't have what you're looking for.

I have been finding inexpensive and unique items. This is a good example of what a Dollar tree should be the stores clean the registers move quickly and the manager is of good quality.
