canceled my appointment an hour before appointment time. after I dropped and dispersed my kids at their grandparent house and started making my way there. My haircut is simple, easy, and fast. anyone could have taken 3 inches off and especially were I was coming in with it already washed and ready to go. I'd even asked if there was someone else there willing. Manager seemed very unimpressed with the efforts I made to be there on time and unsympathetic to my circumstances. maybe they figured they weren't gonna make bank off of a haircut, however I'm a great tipper. They canceled it because the hairstylist took on a color re-correction, but I'm such an easy cut I feel like they could have respected my time and effort to be there and cut while the color was processing. they simply didn't care for my business and thought a simple cut wasn't worth their time. Fortunately I did reach out to another salon and after I explained my circumstances they squeezed me in. They were apologetic for the other salons mistreatment and showed me wonderful customer service. I'm a simple haircut, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't make good money off of it. Believe me the hairstyle willing to fit me in and sympathize with the circumstance of being a mom of four will be tipped big time and have a loyal customer. this wasn't just a fail of the hairstylist Addie but the salon as a whole.

Michelle at Biyoshi is so amazing that even though I moved to the North Shore 10 years ago, I still drive down to get my hair cut by her. The cuts are not only incredible, they grow out so well that I can go much longer in between cuts. This week I got my hair highlighted for the first time. Showed her a pic of celebrity hair and it came out EXACTLY the same as the picture.

5+ stars! I was a little nervous at first. I wanted to dye my hair an outrageous color, and I wasn't sure if a salon in Brookline would really give me the desired affect. Michelle, my stylist, was incredibly knowledgeable, capable, and friendly. I went in as a dark brunette and left with bright red locks -- a color she recommended. I love it and friends are constantly complimenting me!

This is the only hair salon I trust. I've had three different people do my hair here over the past six years and have always been happy. I've went here on and off for the past five years (I've moved locations during this time, but I usually just travel here now for my cuts). I don't get difficult cuts at all but I have really difficult hair that can be hard to style. They listen to what I want and style my hair at the end how I like it, and make my hair look really healthy. I usually don't need a cut again for a while from the way the cut it. They use the best hair products too!!

Amazing salon! I've only worked with Juliet but have heard great things about all the employees. Juliet knows her stuff. And she told me things about my hair that stylists never mentioned and gave me practical help. And best part is, she's game to try new things with you. Color, bangs, whatever. I highly recommend this salon!

I followed my favorite curly hair stylist here, Jackie Earley. I had been with her for over four years. Two Satursdays ago was the last time. She is a genius with curly hair cuts, but...she was incredibly rude and condescending to me. I asked her to dye my brows when she dyed my hair. She seemed to happily agree. I didn't know it at the time, but she ended up putting dye way past my brows, dyeing my skin in two giant brown strips. She rinsed my hair, I paid, and I happened to catch a gander in the mirror. I looked horrid! When I asked her to help get the dye off, she sort of shrugged and pointed me toward some hand sanitizer, and also told me that the brow service was complimentary. That didn't really make sense--as if she does a bad job if she agrees to do something for free? I had to ask for a towel (which another staff member got me--Jackie ignored!) and I scrubbed to no avail. After it didn't come off with a good scrubbing, she just sort of told me to go on my way. I was incensed. BTW, it didn't come off for FOUR days...and I got my hair done on a Saturday. I had to put concealer all over my brows on Monday and Tuesday so I could go to work! Needless to say, she lost a customer. She was extremely dismissive and unhelpful throughout this process. I was appalled, especially because I have been a loyal customer and good tipper over the years. I guess that counts for nothing. I might recommend this salon, but I don't recommend Jackie Earley.

I've been going to Michelle for two years and haven't had a bad haircut yet! She always does a great job and her use of the safety razor instead of traditional scissors helps keep my hair looking great even when it has grown out.

I started going to this salon when they were on Comm.Ave. They moved, I moved, and I've tried a dozen different salons since then. Thankfully I found Michelle again in Brookline and I won't be going anywhere else. Biyoshi is the best! I have really thick unruly hair and Michelle has always given me an awesome modern cut, where as before I kept getting "the Rachel" from the 90s. Best coloring too!

I've been going to Andrea and Michelle at Biyoshi for years, starting when they were in Brighton on Comm Ave and I have always been happy with the great job they do. They even cut a costume wig that I brought to them and it came out awesome.
