From Gateway Arts - Studio Art Center, Gallery, and Store
Gateway Arts is a nonprofit studio art center providing individual arts based services to support the careers of over 100 adult artists with disabilities. Artists create work in diverse mediums including fiber arts, ceramics, drawing, painting, mixed media, new media, and jewelry, with the support of a professional staff of artists.
Gateway artists are represented in the onsite Gateway Gallery and external venues, and sell their work in The Gateway Store, located at 60 Harvard Street in Brookline Village, MA. The industry standard 50% of proceeds from the sale of original work is paid to the artist as commission, the other 50% is used to continue providing professional art supplies, studios, and highly trained staff.
