The Larz Anderson Auto Museum, located just a 10-minute drive from downtown Boston in Larz Anderson Park, is a unique gem that proudly houses "America's Oldest Car Collection." The historic automobiles are displayed in the Carriage House, a masterpiece built in 1888 by Boston's city architect, Edmund M. Wheelwright. The museum offers a variety of engaging experiences, including lawn events, family gatherings, lectures on cars and local history, educational programs from kindergarten to high school, and guided tours. Visitors can explore the impressive collection, which includes classic and newer Japanese vehicles, as well as marvel at the size and design of the vehicles from decades ago. Whether you're a car enthusiast or simply seeking an enjoyable and educational experience, the Larz Anderson Auto Museum is a must-visit destination, creating lasting memories for all.
A small museum, but a great selection of turn of the century automobiles. It's in an old carriage house, so if you are into architecture, you'll appreciate it. There are some early Japanese model cars there. This place is small, but the entry fee is modest, and they offer a military discount.

Evening speaker events are interesting and fun. Lawn events during the summer are excellent!

Not really a museum. Combination of original owner's 1900 - 1920s unrestored cars, plus a display of 1980s Japanese.
