Recently, during a family trip to Boston, having about an hour to spare before the hotel check-in, I thought to enter this Goodwill and I was extremely pleasantly surprised! Not only did I find very nice, high-quality pieces in excellent condition, at a great price, but the selection was plentiful. This place has quickly become one of my favorites, although it is not close-by and I might not be able to go again. Thank you!”

“Very nice little shop. It's small, but not overly cluttered. It has a lot if neat knick knacks and antiques, as well as some newer stuff. It also feels like everything was in good condition, not just old junk someone doesn't want. Pricing was reasonable. The lady running the place was friendly when I asked questions. They have a punch card where if you buy enough stuff, you get a coupon for a future purchase, which is pretty neat in my opinion. Definitely worth a stop by if you're in the area!”

“This thrift shop is a hidden gem in Melrose, MA. They were once in the basement and while it was fun rummaging and searching for items, the new space upstairs is bright, cheery and packed with so many more things than they could ever hold in the basement. The space is air conditioned making it a pleasure to shop when its hot outside and they even have a changing room. They have a variety of items (yes, womens clothes are plentiful) but they also carry shoes, housewares, men's clothing, jewelry, (costume and fine jewelry), accessories, vintage and antique goods. The merchandise is constantly rotating and they try and make sure items are in the best condition possible. Be aware they currently only take cash or check, but there is a Bank if America close by as well as an atm near the shop. Worth checking in on a regular basis since sales are revolving and there is always something new you'll find.”

“SWEET DEALS: Closet-size jewel of a Second Hand clothing store run by a human service agency whose members are people with I/DD. Much of the clothing is nondescript. Hunt for the limited items of past season Diane Von Furstenberg, Burberry, Philip Lim, Carmen Marc Valvo, Madewell, etc. Often these pieces are size 0-4. Typical price range is $3-5 (cash is preferred). I hate sharing this secret but it's a great place that deserves more traffic. The adjacent store is Gifts at Peppermint Place which has a random assortment of gifts.”

“The second best used/ vintage thrift store in JP next to Boomerangs. This thrift store is huge. Clothing, furniture, housewares. Its all good. Some not so good. Dig deep, there is a lot here. Most of the workers do not speak English, but its all part of the charm. I have found some cool shirts here for nearly nothing. It is for a great cause: The Pine Street Inn charity.”

“The salvation army in Central square in Cambridge on Massachusetts avenue health helped a lot of people throughout the long years that they have been there in that location. I have never stayed there overnight but I have occasionally had need of a shower which they were able to accommodate and a meal from time and time and a couple times during my laundry when I didn't have any money to do them,, don't let your pride get in the way of getting some help from a place like salvation army!! You need to call at 6:00 a.m. the same day to reserve a bed if they have any if you need a place to sleep for the night. If you're going to be staying there I recommend trying to get a bed as close as possible to staff as possible, do not have any loose belongings on you when you go there as they might get stolen, if we have something of value keep it under your shirt or coat or sweater and tie it to you securely before you go to sleep..”

“Years back closer to when this location opened they had the worst manager working, absolutely rotten lady. She’s long gone and now this place has the best employees I’ve seen at a goodwill. Not sure what other people’s reviews are on about ! I’ve had nothing but good experiences with the workers there, they have all been outwardly nice and friendly every time I go, at worst a couple are neutral and probably just tired. More than reasonable. Absolutely the friendliest group I’ve encountered at any goodwill ! Good vibes I’m not huge on goodwills vs other thrifts but this one is my very favorite and in my opinion the best place HP has to offer. Sooo happy I can walk here and almost always find something good.”

She runs the place like a pro—organized, friendly, and somehow knows where everything is (which is impressive because let’s be real… thrift stores are basically treasure hunts). And her son? Just as solid—helpful, respectful, and clearly learned from the best. The whole staff matches that same energy. Nobody’s giving you that “you’re on your own, good luck” vibe. They actually help, joke around, and make the experience feel easy and fun. 10/10 would recommend—came for cheap finds, stayed for the good vibes and great people. Might even start coming here just to say hi at this point 😄”

Also they had a couple prom dresses and a lovely black short flowly dress that I loved but was to small so go snag those quick :D. Also to the person who came in with her daughter that couldn't use the bathroom, you should have checked if they had bathrooms in the first place and second there is a pet store with a bathroom RIGHT NEXT TO IT, that might have been your own fault”
