“Now this is what I call a thrift store! It has vintage items and you have to look for some great finds! The prices are affordable and the quantity/quality of clothes is abundant. They have trinkets as well along with a free table of stuff. The staff is also sweet and helpful. Get lost in the options!!!”

“i've been to this location a lot to shop--this is def my go-to place to go thrifting for clothes. they have a lot of great options and range of style. you can also find some great brands and trendy stuff. the folks that work there are always super sweet--i've asked for second opinion when trying clothes on and they were very helpful. i've also sold clothes here a handful of times. they are selective and will go for more trendy items. also, they will be a bit more selective when inventory is full, so i suggest not going during times when people aren't typically buying a lot of clothes such as after the holidays. they will stick to what is in season too, so be mindful of the types of clothes you are trying to sell so it can save you a trip! a lot of the times that i've went to sell, i did leave with most of the clothes i brought in so i would say don't expect them to take everything. overall, i will be returning here to both shop and sell and i recommend you check it out as well if you are a fan of thrifting!”

“Let’s start with the beginning: I love thrift stores! I think they are amazing gifts to the community and the planet.I love this one in particular because it’s the neighborhood’s local thrift store. You can find here everything you need (or don’t need), from kids’ clothes, fancy plates from 100 years ago, furniture and designer items like this cashmere sweater I found today. You may need to pass by a few times to find what you’re looking for, but there is a good chance they’ll have it at some point. What better way to recycle our stuff and let someone else use those items for a while. And prices are very reasonable!”

“One of the best thrift stores in the area! The prices are great, and there's a lot of good finds. Also their mission is worth supporting. It isn't the biggest place, but it certainly makes an impact. There's no changing rooms either, but that's easily overlooked.”

“I found three different jackets that were clean and good quality, which is impressive considering how physically small the store is! The staff is friendly as well.”

“CASH ONLY. Crowded and tight, the dust always makes my throat dry, but the prices are good & low and I *always* find something unique. Clothing and housewares = good selection. Appliances/lamps/suitcases/etc = not so much. Free parking & there’s an ATM in the lot. Sales rotate day to day.”

“Charming and full of an eclectic variety of items for such a small place. Staff are very friendly. 10 dollar minimum on credit card purchases sent me on a quest to find more items to buy since the only thing I really wanted was only three dollars! But I ended up with two Calvin Klein ties that were actually still fashionable these days and left happy.”

“I was at their pop-up at the Sam Adams Brewery and their prices can’t be beat! The staff are so kind and, I mean, $3 and $5 cassettes? $6 shirts and $12 jeans??? Their selection is amazing and you’ll always find something that piques your interest.”

“My sister and I took six bags and two boxes of items to drop off. Three bags were "poundage," torn, stained, or well-worn clothing that they take to sell per pound to textile recycling. The process was quick and easy and they provide you with a receipt for tax purposes. I like that the proceeds benefit the Interfaith Social Services' food pantry, mental health counseling center, and homelessness prevention program.”

“Clothes here are really good brands and in excellent condition! Owner is super friendly and they have a resale system as well so you can bring in your outgrown kids clothes and get buying credits.”

“Small gem of a thrift shop. Especially nice quality women's and men's clothing plus a a varied selection of good qualify housewares. Note: This place is open. It was closed during pandemic and some searches may be out of date. Check it out, hidden off Brattle street in Harvard Square. If you are headed to Anthropologie or other shops in Harvard Square you might find a bagain only a few steps away.”

“My shopping trip - I wanted to purchase a dress with a blue color tag. This was a dress that would be fine for church or work. It was made of Jones of NY. The cashier with the fingers nails painted black - stated that the dress was 15 dollars!!! It was considered a fancy dress - Fancy? I have ten other dress in my closet I purchaed at goodwill that have had the same blue color tag. The clerk ask if I still wanted the dress. I said not at that price!!. Something was not right with this transaction!!! I was being ripped off. What really irks me is that people donate items to goodwill and it costs them nothing.Clean storeEmployees 50 50 some are great - others notColthes not jammed pack on racksMissesNeed more mirrorsNo parking - bus stop in front storeShoe prices are to high”

“I love this place. There's home goods and clothes, sometimes a vintage rack in the back. It's all end brands, often with the tags on, sold at half price or below. And best part is the money goes to Boomerangs and their mission to support the AIDS Action Fund. It's guilt free shopping.”

“The salvation army in Central square in Cambridge on Massachusetts avenue health helped a lot of people throughout the long years that they have been there in that location. I have never stayed there overnight but I have occasionally had need of a shower which they were able to accommodate and a meal from time and time and a couple times during my laundry when I didn't have any money to do them,, don't let your pride get in the way of getting some help from a place like salvation army!! You need to call at 6:00 a.m. the same day to reserve a bed if they have any if you need a place to sleep for the night. If you're going to be staying there I recommend trying to get a bed as close as possible to staff as possible, do not have any loose belongings on you when you go there as they might get stolen, if we have something of value keep it under your shirt or coat or sweater and tie it to you securely before you go to sleep..”

“Organized and fun! Women owned business and trained staff that represent the philosophy of the store. The quality of the items and the hourly turnover of items keeps it remarkably interesting. I donate and I purchase, I like how I feel good not having to go to the mall. Quality *************** Makers, Kitchen items with original tags still on them. Need a nice coffee mug to go with the new machine, they have them. I love that I can still shop *****************, ******* for clothing. ***** ”

“I almost always find something here. The shelves are always stocked and I feel like there’s a lot of item turnover. I will say there are often broken or dirty items on the shelves, so you have to be in the mood to sort through to find your treasures. Sometimes it smells weird in the store.”

“The second best used/ vintage thrift store in JP next to Boomerangs. This thrift store is huge. Clothing, furniture, housewares. Its all good. Some not so good. Dig deep, there is a lot here. Most of the workers do not speak English, but its all part of the charm. I have found some cool shirts here for nearly nothing. It is for a great cause: The Pine Street Inn charity.”

“very nice staff, great selection with an awesome men’s sweater section! everyone saying it was dirty or a bad thrift store was either in a bad mood or that was their first ever thrift store lol! thrift stores aren’t known for being squeaky clean!”

“The place to go for thrifting! I always find what I need! Wonderful assortment of pieces for good prices ($5 for blouses with long sleeves and $6 for sweaters). Wear a tank top, crop top, or sports bra or be prepared to try things over clothes or under skirts because their dressing rooms are always closed.Buy baking soda and vinegar from Dollar Tree down the street and maybe have some banh mi from Super Market 88 or do some grocery shopping at Star Market. If you’re looking for clothes hangers, Dollar Tree sells them for $1.25 (pack or 7).”

“Can someone please tell me the name of the manager who worked there approximately four years ago? He had a bit of a stutter? If you ever read this I want you to know I’m so so sorry that I hurt you.”

“SWEET DEALS: Closet-size jewel of a Second Hand clothing store run by a human service agency whose members are people with I/DD. Much of the clothing is nondescript. Hunt for the limited items of past season Diane Von Furstenberg, Burberry, Philip Lim, Carmen Marc Valvo, Madewell, etc. Often these pieces are size 0-4. Typical price range is $3-5 (cash is preferred). I hate sharing this secret but it's a great place that deserves more traffic. The adjacent store is Gifts at Peppermint Place which has a random assortment of gifts.”

“This place was the most amazing Goodwill I've ever been to it was clean it was organized everything was color coded the only thing I didn't like is the racks weren't divided into sizes and the staff wasn't very friendly but besides that it's a great place to find some really cool good second hand clothing”
