One of the best convince stores and to be totally honest, one of the most family oriented and kindest and best stores in general in all of Brookline Massachusetts. I've known the family for years, A Chinese Family and they are the most friendly down to earth people I have ever met. The father owned it first, now the daughter owns it and they are both very friendly especially the daughter she is such a an awesome person to chat with. Love this place. A home away from home in some way.

A refreshingly simple corner store. No fake organic products for astronomical prices here. Just a straightforward newsstand/convenience where you can pick up soda, tobacco, and a scratchy, if that's what scratches your itch. Friendly folks and convenient hours.

Let me convince you that this convenience store is confidently on the conquest to be one of the contestants of best stores in the village. This pop and mom whole in the brick wall store has everything you want and need, including a selected selection of drinks in the fridge and some items I’ve not seen before but would love to try like Dunkin’ Donuts cereal, which has natural and artificial flavors. The guy working there didn’t say too much but also not too little I liked that. definitely a huge contribution to Brookline

The older man who seems to be the owner and permanent cashier at this store is extremely rude and monotone, does not care about his customers

Extremely rude, insensitive, and quite frankly -- dangerous. Here's what happened: Cashier refused to help a neighbor who had a blood sugar medical emergency because she also had her dogs with her. She even explained the situation that all she needed was to get a soda and he still refused, even after seeing her medical device's warning or her explaining that if she doesn't get sugar immediately she could pass out on the street. She was trembling so bad she couldn't even have tied up her dogs to leave them outside. The way she was treated is NOT the type of compassion or neighborly act I expect of local business owners. I won't be going back, EVER, as this is a 1-strike-and-you're-out type of situation in my book.

The old Chinese man at the register started yelling at me without reason. The man thought my ID was invalid despite not expiring until 2024. Started yelling at me in broken English and indecipherable mandarin but not explaining his qualms or listening to a response. Horrible experience. Terrible customer service. I've heard of there being a crackdown to the Juuling situation in this area but hostility is never the answer.

Village Convenience is a useful addition to Brookline Village for when you want something random like a bag of chips, toothpaste, or a soda.
