It was our first experience ever building a bear on our daughter’s birthday. Front desk staff was polite however we would have appreciated if they explained the ‘pay your age’ policy rather than directing us to choose any bear. The staff who helped us build our bear was inconsiderate of our ‘inexperience’ and super pushy on getting us to spend more money on extra accessories when we had already purchased 2. They Kept offering them to my 4 year old daughter who was absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of options. Naturally as a child, she said yes to all. It almost felt like we were mocked for politely declining and putting away things that my daughter kept accepting from the staff. I should have spoke out to someone but I refused to let this ruin our special day! It was supposed to be a lovely experience and it felt nothing like that. So sad!

We had the best time with Gret - she truly makes the Build A Bear experience amazing. This is our fourth trip to a Build A Bear store but the first time in Burlington meeting Gret and we will be loyally coming here to see her! My daughter had just the best time and this is always a treat for her that she earns so it means that much more. Thank you Gret!

I have been to this build a bear many many times ever since they closed the one at square one. Every time I’ve gone, Gretchen has been there and she is always so nice. She is super sweet to my 8 month old daughter as well and makes her smile. I love this build a bear location simply because of her!

the staff in here are literally the most kindest, sweetest and caring folks. they’re super helpful with anything you need. they pay close attention to your shopping and will let you know certain deals or new things they have. did you know they have a teddy drs office in there? not literally but if your stuffed animal comes apart or needs surgery they got you covered. i believe it’s for the cost of whatever you’re replacing ie a beating heart. you’ll have to pay for the heart. it’s such a pleasant experience here and it makes me want to spend more money because the service is just A1. down to earth chill environment and it’s extra exciting for your little ones. thank you for choosing the staff well. i hope they’re being compensated enough to be comfortable in life.

Oh my gosh Shane was amazing and did the entire experience! He made my daughter’s birthday so magical! This is the first time someone really went above and beyond. He did the whole heart ceremony, the bath time for the bear, and helped my daughter dress her bear. He was also extremely kind, we didn’t feel rushed at all which was so nice. Reminded me of when I was a kid and the magic was there.

The workers at Build a Bear gave my daughter such a special experience yesterday! She was celebrating her 4th birthday with two friends and they made it so fun and special for them. They gave my daughter a sticker and crown as well as let her ring the birthday bell and sang to her. Linds was so good with the kids and really made it an amazing experience!
