I came to Petco tonight to pick up food and some bones for our rescue dog, Jet. The store is huge and has a very large selection, which is great. But this review is about store employee Zach. I brought my 4 year old in the store with me and he was running all around when I was trying to pay and create a dog tag collar. Zach reassured me that he had eyes on my little one and was talking to him, showing him the merchandise, interacting with him by asking him questions ("what is your favorite dog tag we have here? " "What is your stuffed kitty's name you brought with you tonight?") and entertaining him until I was ready to leave. Normally employees from other stores would be on their phones not paying attention or getting annoyed by a 4 year old running around, but not Zach. He made the shopping experience very pleasant and not stressful! Thank you, Zach, for providing great customer service!! I appreciate it and will be back!

The saga of my dogs grooming started in late September. I have used the Burlington Petco once before but it is not my go too as I am not crazy about their service. We took my dog in to be groomed and when we picked him up the groomer noted that he "nipped" at her. Highly unusual for my dog, Inpaid for the service and took him home, what I noticed was that he had razor burns and nicks everywhere. Kind of made sense that he would be nippy. Within a week we had to take him to the vet as he was having discharge from his eyes, they noted that the groomer didn't clip his nails and did them for us and started him on eye cream to clear up conjunctivitis. Well, we are now into December and we have had numerous specialist appointments trying to get the eye infection under control. We are over 2k in medical expenses and my four Year old dog came close to losing his eye sight!. i did not contact Petco until yesterday as my 1st concern was the health of my dog. When I did I asked some questions. How are your groomers trained? In house six week course. How often do you clean the equipment and cages? A. Depends, we clean them as needed.....told me everything right there. I explained in great detail what happened to my dog. We STILL don't know if he will be ok! I was happy to have the manager look into the situation until I saw Debbie K's review and became sick to my stomach! I was horrified 5hat this has happened before! I would seriously reconsider using Petco as your experience could end up very expensive at the least, heartbreaking at worst! Now I want a call from Corporate as I thought this was isolated, reading Debbie K's review.....this happened before! Now I am heated and I will make sure that no one's pet has to go through what mine has! Debbie K I have messaged you regarding your experience and I would like to speak to you ASAP!

I drive a distance to this location as a client of one of your groomers Sarah, and it's 100% worth it when you know your dog is in good hands. I know when I pick my dog up, they will be well groomed and anything I asked for will have been looked after. Sarah is the most kind, patient, thorough groomer I've found (and that says a lot after years of moving, finding groomers, etc).

We love Petco Burlington's grooming service. All of the groomers are great and manager Brian runs a tight ship. That said, Julia does an incredible job on our Samoyed, Koda. For those who don't know Samoyeds, they are a 50-120 pound white haired fur-producing machines. Julia spends hours on him and it shows. See the before and after pictures below - especially his ruff.

The grooming staff is really bad, besides one of them, the new people working there are terrible. Management used to be way better at the store, sadly they replaced all the employees recently, and they don't care for customer loyalty

Beware of the new management abs staff. I've been a client for the last 7 years, for their grooming, training and this new staff is by far THE WORST I've seen in my life. Complete disregard for my loyalty as client, or any appreciation for my business, I want to ensure people know how poor of an experience I had today with the grooming team cancelling my appointments for being a few minutes late to drop my dogs. The staff had no client management skills, didn't care to offer alternative options, and after talking to the manager had no options even offered. The grooming staff was down right insulting with her attitude towards me as a client. In conclusion, avoid coming here at all costs

My dog jumps out of the window when we pull in the parking lot and the groomers are friendly and greet her with a smile and her name. Have been going to the Burlington location for a few years now and the experience has always been great.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Absolutely terrible experience with the dog grooming. I have a lab so I brought him mainly to be washed/deshedding as well having his nails cut. Not only was he still shedding EVERYWHERE even in the waiting room, they cut his nails so barbarically and short he was bleeding from 3 of the them. I felt so bad for him. He got blood all over the car as well as the waiting room when I went back in. They essentially told me it was his fault for getting hurt, that he was too squirmy on the table, which is so unexceptable, just because he was scared (mind you, this is the FIRST time he's ever been groomed professionally, he's only a year old) but that doesn't give anyone the right to make him BLEED. I will never, ever be returning to their salon.

Dogs would do a better job cutting hair than the employees at Petco. My dog, Stanley, got the "chop of his life". I dropped him off a happy post-quarantine pup, I picked him up as a skinned, scared rat. I still refuse to believe this is my dog. When the "employees" returned Stanley to me they threw his leash at me!! After I caught the leash, they asked me if I wanted his collar back and said, "It's a...peculiar color, you 100% sure u want it back?!" The nerve! The employee knew I was not happy with the service. When I saw my dog I gasped and almost broke down crying. I asked "What happened?! That is not Stanley". The employee replied with, "okay, but it is." I am beyond flabbergasted with this establishment. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG FOR HAIRCUTS HERE. Thank you. I have provided pictures

The BURLINGTON PETCO is the best. The staff are amazing. They helped me so much and were incredibly friendly. FIVE STARS! You guys rock.
