We are on a sailboat heading east/north to Maine and Nova Scotia. We stopped here for diesel and to fill up with water along the way. Although our stop was brief, we were impressed with the kindness, helpfullness and the knowledge that the dock staff showed during our visit. They assisted in getting us off the dock when a fairly strong wind was against us. These high school and college age young men were extremely polite and again, very knowledgeable regarding boating, docking and refueling. We plan on making Safe Harbor at Onset a regular stop when heading north or south along the coast.

Whether it was taking time out of their busy day to come tow us (when our dinghy motor went) or assisting us with advice for finding boat parts, Curtis (the dockmaster) and Alyssa (the marina manager) were true assets in our corner. Their professionalism, knowledge, and easy smiles and laughter will not be forgotten. We look forward to seeing you next season.

This summer we experienced engine trouble while going through the Cape Cod Canal during a severe thunderstorm and had to be towed - our choice was to go to Safe Harbor Onset Bay (we are Safe Harbor Cowesett members).
Because the storm was so severe (long lasting horizontal hail for example), the marina was closing and most staff had been sent home. Because of the storm, we called ahead and spoke to Tom, who explained that the marina was closing but he would stay to help us get secure to a slip. Tom was unbelievably helpful. He spoke to the mechanical staff who through him assured us they would look at our engine issue first thing in the morning. Tom found us a slip, helped secure our boat, familiarized us with the marina, and was just incredibly helpful especially considering the horrific storm.
First thing the next morning, Tom, Bill and Fred were there to help us. The source of our engine shutdown (sensor) was quickly identified and replaced - they had prior experience with the exact same issue and had the necessary parts on hand.
This service was first class and went well above and beyond. The weather conditions could not have been much worse and we are grateful for their help. Everyone we met at the marina was very friendly and very helpful. Thank you! Everyone was great, but in particular we can't say enough good things about Tom!

Great marina, moderately sheltered, plenty of moorings and dock space. The marina staff were on top of their game, facilitates were clean and had complimentary shampoo/ conditioner, along with complimentary dryer sheets. Quick 15 minute walk to town and plenty of good spots for food and drinks. Power worked great, as well as water pressure. Make sure to tip the dock staff, they deserve it.

I have been a customer at Onset Bay Marina for a number of years. I would like to give a “shout out” to the crew who operates the rack system. Tyler, Grimmi and Teddy are the crew who make things happen for us. They seem to appear out of nowhere and then I see my boat moved from the rack to the dock. They make my experience a great one every time I want to go boating. They are the faces that I see every time I go to the boatyard, and they are the ones that put a smile on my face. Safe Harbor is lucky to have them as the team that I trust and will bring me back year after year.Thank you,John & Jean Mulhern

Grimmy, Tyler, and Alyssa are the best. Their Salaries should be doubled. We used Safe Harbor for over seven years if we ever get back into a bigger boat, you know right where we will be!

Great marina. Very friendly staff. We were waylaid with a broken pulley so we stayed here. The service team was awesome and got us repaired the next day. Literally love these guys.
