Clean but kind of expensive

We are at the end of a long road trip & needed to do a little bit of laundry. We chose Speedwash bc it’s supposed to be clean, but the machines have mold in the top where you put the detergent & the rubber rim of the washers. This is our third laundrymat this trip & it’s mediocre. We didn’t see any staff, but there was quite a few people there using the machines. Nice seating, but can get crowded.

I came kinda late. I walked in at 6:40pm because I had a day from hell and sometimes that happens. I looked and saw it said last load 6:45pm. I was putting my clothing in and a woman came up to me letting me know about the time and I told her I understood and I would hurry. She starts running the cards and starting it before I even got the detergent in and everything was in, on a quick wash, at 6:45pm.
I got things out the moment they were ready and into the dryer. I had more than enough time to be out by closing. When the dryers were done, one dryer obviously wasn't working because I broke up my clothing into 4 dryers so things dried faster. More money for me but I understood, long day and it's not her fault that I was late due to a mix up at work that kept me longer than expected.
It was just one of those days that was long, hard, and I came in and was maybe 2 minutes late putting in my clothing. I dropped 40 to put on the card and then needed to add another 5 because that wasn't enough for 2 washing machines on the quick wash cycle and 4 dryers, put at 30 minutes. Okay, whatever.
But as I was getting all my clothing out, the one industrial size dryer closest to the bathroom door obviously isn't working. I put a few towels and jeans in there. It wasn't packed by any means and 40 minutes later and still not dry. So I took the stuff out and put it in the other for 10 minutes because it is 2.75 for 15 minutes. I paid for 30. Then ended up having to put it in another dryer for 10 minutes for 1.80. The woman working comes by and tells me not to put any more time on the dryer, when I was doing so. I explained nothing in the last dryer was dry and she snapped back,"That's why you come earlier." First of all, what? Why should I have to come earlier to give more money and time to something that wouldn't be an issue if the dryer actually worked. So I am paying more money. And I am being told I'm in the wrong? Get working dryers and then all my clothing would have been dried at the same time. Everything in the other 3 dryers were dry.
I just find it obnoxious to treat customers like that and as a small business owner myself, it's not good business. I was out the door, with soaking wet towels before it hit 8pm and there was someone still folding their clothing, by the door. Now had I stayed past closing time and didn't just drop almost 50 bucks, I might have understood the rudeness. But I did everything to get in and out, on time, and did. The fact I had to do an extra 10 minutes, didn't change that. The only thing it did was give them some more of my money for their machines inability to do it's purpose but I should have come earlier, I guess. And it made me decide to take the extra drive, to Hyannis, where I usually do my laundry. Cheaper there and their machines work.

Very clean laundry mat and equipment is all up to date. The machines only take cards. No coins. There is always someone on site, they also offer laundry service at $2 per lb. Very convenient. Definitely recommend this service. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. The laundry mat closes at 8p every night.

I use the drop off service and I have to say it is the best ! They are fast and efficient. The ladies that work there are kind and considerate. My work shirts and sons school shirts are all on hangers when I pick up. I appreciate the turn around time from start to finish! Great work!

If you have allergies to smells, be prepared for your cloth to have smells. I washed with no scent stuff and used nothing in the dryers. My clothes came out smelling like perfume laundry soap. Clean place but all the nice I have to say and expensive. We travel and used alot of laundry places never have my clothes smelled of so much fragrance. 😞😓😩

It was great. I needed oversized washing machines, and I found them! Price was right, and NO quarters needed.
My only thought was it should have a rest room.

We recently visited Speedwash Laundromat and were most impressed with the kindness and assistance of the staff. We were grateful also for helpful directions and their answering questions. The facility was clean and sanitary with a variety of machines. We highly recommend this establishment.

Washer broke halfway through our cycle, had to call the manager and she was super nice and helpful, thankfully the machine unlocked so we could have our clothes. Because of the washer breaking our clothes hadn't went through the spin cycle so they were dripping wet which made the floor wet but we dried it up as much as we could before we moved over to the dryers. The old man, who we didn't even know was there. Kept raising his voice at us to "move out of his way" so he could mop the floor (which was dry atp just dirty from mud tracking) He didn't even seem to know how to use the mop and was using a towel to dry up the even bigger mess that he made by the way he was mopping. He also kept touching our clothes instead of just asking us to move our stuff. No respect for other people here.
