Great Brook Farm State Park is a 1000-acre destination in Massachusetts, featuring over 20 miles of well-marked trails suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. The park is rich in history, showcasing Native American sites and 17th-century cellar holes. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery and explore various trails that can be combined in many ways, making it perfect for all skill levels. Daily parking is available for a small fee of $3 from April to November. The park also includes an active dairy farm that offers free tours on weekends and has a barn serving delicious ice cream, although it may not always be open in the early morning. Families will appreciate the opportunity to see cows, goats, sheep, pigs, and chickens, and there is even a feed dispenser for the animals. While the park is dog-friendly, it is important for dog owners to keep their pets on a leash, as many dogs were seen off-leash during visits. Clean restrooms are located near the ice cream barn, and visitors are advised to bring bug spray to enhance their experience, especially in the warmer months. Overall, Great Brook Farm State Park is an excellent spot for outdoor enthusiasts and families looking for fun and exercise.
