Great place to walk the dog and have the kids get some exercise. Plenty of trails from novice to expert. Lots of good but manageable hills. And every walk ends with a Richardson ice cream!

A total hidden gem for us trail runners! I was able to do a beautiful 5 mile loop following well maintained trails and easy to follow routes. I’ll be back for longer runs too! Lots to explore and beautiful!

This park has a ton of trails, so you have many options to make your adventure long or short. The trails are well marked and nicely maintained. We really enjoyed visiting the farm and seeing the animals (you can't top bany cows... but also, alpacas!!). The ice cream stand is closed for the season, but we'll try to make it next year for sure. It's usually open April - October. We have visited twice, and each time, we have explored a different part of the park. This place is huge. I don't think we'd ever tire of visiting.Restrooms: Restrooms were closed, so plan accordingly or call ahead to learn if they'd be open. I suspect the hours of operation for restrooms are much more limited during the off season. This is a carry in and carry out spot. No dog poop fairies around, so please pack Fido's poop bags (and don't leave them on top of a table/bench).

Love this park.We bring our dog here on walks and every time I go I have moments of appreciation for how beautiful and peaceful my surroundings are.Plenty of parking ($3/day), we get an annual pass ($60) because we go so often.Lots of trails that take you far from the road so you can be surrounded by nature and away from any road noise. You can walk by the cows in the field and go up to see the goats and ducks and pigs. We've seen lots of wild turtles and snakes and deer. There's a restroom, a pavilion, and lots of picnic tables near the pond. Some days the manure smell is pretty strong but that's to be expected on a farm with cowsOverall a lovely park. 10/10 would recommend.

People do let their dogs off leash here a lot so be cautious especially if you have a reactive dog. We've encountered a handful of dog owners whose dogs don't have good recall and have to handle leashed/off leash dog interactions.Picnic area: Fair number of picnic tables, most under a pavilion

I had the most delightful experience at Great Brook Farm State Park in Carlisle! This place is an absolute gem, and I can't recommend it enough for families and nature enthusiasts alike. The first thing that struck me was the sheer beauty of the park. The serene pond and expansive fields provide a picturesque backdrop for a day of outdoor adventure. Whether you're looking to have a leisurely picnic, go for a hike, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings, this park has it all.But what truly sets Great Brook Farm State Park apart is the incredible array of farm animals they have on display. I felt like a kid again as I watched the cows, goats, chickens, and pigs go about their daily routines. It's a fantastic opportunity for children (and adults!) to connect with nature and learn about farm life firsthand. And of course, the highlight of my visit was the ice cream. I couldn't resist trying a scoop, and it was nothing short of heavenly. The flavors were so rich and delicious. What makes this place even better is that it's an ideal spot for the whole family. There are plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, from exploring the farm to playing by the pond. It's an educational and fun experience rolled into one.The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, eager to answer any questions and make our visit enjoyable. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.Great Brook Farm State Park is a true treasure. Whether you're a nature lover, a foodie, or simply looking for a great day out with your loved ones, this place has it all.I can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories here. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in Carlisle!

I went here for a school field trip! The experience was nice, and the icecream tasted good. Not sure about how expensive it was, though. The forest trails were decent. The negatives I can say are that the area where the animals are smells terrible (expected since it's a farm) and in the field there are a lot of goose feces, especially close to the water.
