I've only had the ice cream here and I can't get past the chocolate ice cream with heath bar crunch and hot fudge sauce but, I'm sure everything else is delicious. The service is fast and it's nice just to sit around and watch everyone enjoy themselves. We make this trip once every summer.

With tons of fresh ice cream places nearby Kimball's holds its own! The Westford location has a ton to offer (games, rides, food), while the Carlisle location only has ice cream but it's still worth a stop! The servings are massive!

Good food, delicious ice cream, lots of outdoor seating. Lines can be long but move steadily. Staff pleasant.

Not open through October 9th! I was told the last time I was here they would be open through Columbus Day, they were not, on their website it also said the same thing so we tried the Westford location, it was closed as well, it was so disappointing (and a waste of time). This is one of many times I’ve been disappointed this year by Kimballs. Their service continues to be terrible, so slow (I worked at an ice cream shop for 10 years growing up so I know how efficient it can be). Many times you will come to Kimballs and workers will be standing around while one person works on the window, which make no sense. It’s too bad their icecream is so good or I wouldn’t go back, my husband refuses but I keep hoping it’ll get better.

Food was good. Service was good. Thought prices were way too high for what we got. All in all, an interesting place to visit and the ice cream is fantastic.

Cute little place and sooooo much better than the main Kimball. Lines are usually pretty short, staff is very friendly. Selection is the same as the main Kimball. Parking is limited and seating is limited too. Bugs can be am issue at night, so you might want to just sit in your car anyway. All seating is outdoors and some tables have an umbrella. The place is pretty clean. Ice cream is very good and a large selection.

I'm not the biggest fan of ice cream - shocker, with my sweet tooth. But it starts tasting really one-note for me after a few licks and I'd rather eat something else for dessert. So I am not the best critic for the ice cream at Kimball Farm but my husband, who got the butter pecan, raved about it and named it the best ice cream in Massachusetts. I liked the grapenut, my go-to whenever I'm overwhelmed by options. Okay, here are the pros: (1) Best ice cream, according to my husband. (2) If you're cycling down Route 225, this is an excellent pit stop to rest and fuel up on sugar before heading back into Bedford or continuing into Carlisle. (3) The portions are pretty generous. I was more than satisfied by the mini size (the smallest), and the kiddie size (the next size up) looked massive. Cons: (1) THE BEES. Oh my god, it was a literal swarm. I can't imagine what it's like at the height of summer. Does everyone have to go eat in their cars? The ordering line: packed with bees. The seating area: hordes of bees. They also looked like yellowjackets or hornets but I obviously didn't want to step too close to confirm. Definitely makes for a less than pleasurable ice cream experience. Don't understand why they set up a ton of flowers around the seating area for both people and bees to congregate. (2) The line moves very, very slowly. (3) Only one flavor if you get the mini/kiddie sizes. I'd come back in the fall with less bees.

We went for ice cream tonight at 8:40. Waited 20 minutes. When it was our turn to step up to order- they put a closed sign in the window and closed it. And the server declared that they closed at 9 tonight for new hours. All that time waiting and turned away! There were 6 people working but ignoring us. Worst service and rude. They could have at least turned us away while we spent all that time in line. Very disappointed. Their new hours were not updated on their website nor posted in any visible area. Poor customer service.

This is the only ice cream place that I've been to that does not allow 2 flavors in the kiddie size. They have 4 sizes, and "kiddie" is the second smallest size, not the smallest. Additionally, anyone who wants to visit here needs the skill to dodge the bees. We wanted to sit on their benches to spend the afternoon since the weather was nice, but we ended up rushing into our cars right after getting our ice cream. Bummer.
