“I'm editing my review after a response from the company and a refund of my order. See below for my former review. I had left a voicemail, an email, and a message on my online account with minimal response before writing my review. I trust Ducks in the Window has learned from this and will find someone to quickly respond to customers. I thank them and appreciate that they have made this right. Hopefully with the insurance, they are able to recoup the cost from USPS.I ordered from Ducks in the Window. The 1st class package with insurance was never received. USPS said it was delivered, but that is incorrect. We never got it. Ducks in the window won’t respond to inquiries about the package or requests for a refund. Things happen; I understand that. However, the lack of appropriate response for 2 months is unacceptable.”

“A beautiful little gift shop in Chatham! It's the quintessential Cape Cod shop. Have been here many, many times over the years. My favorites are the Cape Cod photographs for sale, but this shop has all sorts of gift and jewelry items available. The staff is always pleasant and helpful and the store itself is clean and very well organized. Don't miss stopping in here on your next visit to the Cape!”

“Fun little shoppe. If you love the beach and/or love mermaids, this is the store for you. Plenty of cute tunics and easy beach town clothing to choose from. Tchotchkes, jewelry, and gifts. Get your mermaid leggings here! Such fun!”

“Would have given 5 starts to this wonderful place, but what I saw next door at a store, called "All Points Beautiful" made me sick. Will not be spending a penny in town again until this reprehensible store moves or closes down.During the long holiday I stopped into town and dropped into my favorite areas to look at clothes and get a new pair of shoes. I was walking through this store and waiting for someone to assist me with another size for a pair of shorts, size 6... OK 8... but could not get anyone's attention. There was a woman in the store whose child was mistakenly accused of stealing from the woman who I know to be Ashley, the owner of the store. I know Ashley has a less than perfect reputation in town but wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and find out more. I would say the woman was barely keeping it together given the fact her daughter was just illegally searched by the younger woman Nicole who I know in passing. I can't say as I blame the woman, had my son been illegally searched by a clothing salesperson I would too be quite distressed. I was Ok with everything till when the woman left the store, Nicole and Ashley both did the most childish thing, they essentially laughed the woman out and all but blew her kisses. I was dumbfounded by the adolescence of the whole thing. As soon as the woman left I pretended like I did not see anything and waited again to be helped, but instead of helping me, the two huddled around a phone and called the police on the woman whose daughter they just accused of stealing and criminally searched her bag! I was beside myself, so I left and called my boyfriend who is best friends with Chatham Police Officer. I later found out that the process these two go through when they illegally search someone is to contact the police and file a report and blame the person they just victimized so that they look like they are the victim instead of the other way around. It turns out that this is a well rehearsed and orchestrated ploy they go through every time.I actually laughed out loud when I heard what they did, these two women told the Chatham Police that the woman "accosted" them because she wanted Nicole to be fired for her illegal actions. Then the younger girl Nicole who has been known to throw her father's Powerful Wellesley Law firm name around, had the nerve to mock the poor woman as she left the store. There is little I can say good about these two store-people other than the floors seemed to be clean.I have a summer place in the next town over and will be advising everyone to avoid this store given the unusual paranoia and principles I witnessed. That was a crazy ride, not going on that again. Try not to get caught up in the crazy out there people, there is a lot going around.”

“My husband and I always enjoy stopping in at Tale of the Cod and poking around. There’s always a lot of fine artwork by talented local artists, and a variety of classy gift merchandise throughout. It’s always my go to store for hostess gifts or Cape memorabilia. The shop has a Cape Cod charm of its own, and the help is always pleasant and accommodating. The location is at the edge of Chatham square and it has its own parking lot so it’s not quite as hectic as much of Chatham square can be. They’ve been there for over 20 years for good reason!”

“We have shopped this store a number of times over many years on our annual vacations to Chatham. We are a bit quizzical about some very negative comments about service. One winter, when the store was closed, we were able to contact the owner in, I think, Florida, and he helped us with a problem over the phone. Today (7/26) we went in and were cheerfully greeted by a gentleman with white hair who was very helpful. My wife is hobbled with hip and knee problems problems and the car was pretty far away, so he had me go get the car and when I pulled up he helped her out and carried the bag. Thanks so much. June and JY Lacke”
