I would give the Chatham main street post office a 0 if that is possible. I dread going there with a problem. I never get any help and are generally indifferent and pass me on to another organization for a fix. This last time was around forwarding and their answer was not helpful and I had to go to another post office to get credible advice on a fix. At one time this post office was the best in the business and cared about their customers. No more

The black lady employee was very, very rude and loves the power trip she gets from holding your mails. How I wish staff here was as nice and warm like the ones in North Chatham. Can’t wait for her to get fired.

I, also wish I could give this post office zero stars. This post office is dark and unwelcoming. I went there to ask about a package I did not get, not only was the man working not interested in helping me, he told me " not to worry, it would show up eventually". When I asked him if he could check the tracking number, he looked irritated and said if he had time. The people here are unfriendly and don't seem to really be interested in helping. Needless to say, I left with no answers. Don't bother calling, either. They don't answer.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I had a large, flat rate Priority Mail package sent from Naples, Fl to my friend's family's home, as I was staying there, and because they don't get regular mail at this home, the post office did not deliver the package and returned it to Naples. The address is clearly marked on this very large and lovely home, and the drive way was full of cars on Saturday when the package was expected. I spoke to 3 men at this facility, including the post master, and each had no rational reason for such idiocy other than " those are our rules." When I pointed out that many of the homes in Chatham are second homes and do not get daily mail, again they pointed out, "those are our rules". It is no surprise the USPS loses money every year. They are pathetic!

I stopped by the post office today because my package stated it was delivered, but it was no where to be found in our mailbox. They took my tracking number and the manager looked it up. She told me she'd be right back. She left and came back 5 minutes later. The manager took the time to go to the location where it was accidentally delivered and get it and bring it back. Definitely would not happen everywhere. I was really appreciative.
