I have been to many different veterinary practices. This is by far the best. The support staff is extraordinary. Everyone is polite and helpful. They are very flexible with scheduling. Dr. Shore and Dr. Hart are very caring and excellent doctors. The care is appropriate, thorough, and expert .They always seem to put the animal above the profit. I really appreciate the care they have given my dog.

We took our dog here after moving back to MA and needing someone closer to home. Our dog has pretty intense allergies and we were assured that it was just seasonal. Pretty soon we were having to come into the office every 2 weeks for appointments to check on his irritations and allergy reactions. Each visit was costing us around $600. Our dog was prescribed the same antibiotics over and over again. We starting questioning if it really was just seasonal. They basically said that they were confident it was. After a while, and paying upwards of $6k in 4-5 months of vet bills here, we decided to ask for a second opinion from the vet our dog saw as a puppy. When we explained the situation, they immediately basically told us we should try looking at other allergens like food and made a plan with us. They also informed us that they got our dogs records from CAH and they hadn’t run tests that they had actually been billing us for every visit. They also confirmed our suspicions about antibiotic resistance after a certain amount of time. Highly disappointed in CAH. We gave them way more chances than we should have AND way more money than we should have. Definite cash grab.By the way, the new vet billed us for the same things that CAH was billing us for per visit, and it was about $200 less.

Even if we hadn't moved towns, I'd have looked for a different vet after our last visit. The lack of attention to detail I experienced was alarming. This summer, we brought our cat in for a follow-up after she went for the ER for respiratory distress where they took X-rays. Once she was stable and came home, we followed up with her vet at CAH. The ER hospital said they'd send the findings to CAH (which they did).At the visit, our CAH vet said she never got the ER visit results and that I should call the ER and ask them to send it. I was confused, since I already did that several days in advance (and mentioned that I did so), but the vet assured me they weren't there. I still relayed what I could remember from the ER as best I could, but I felt the visit was incomplete without actually looking at the ER X ray findings. While checking out, I mentioned off-hand that the ER apparently hadn't sent over the results (or so I heard). The secretary told me that they actually WER stapled to the back of the report she handed the vet before the visit. The secretary went back to alert the vet, and a tech (not the vet herself) came out to summarize the vet's feedback.I know mistakes happen sometimes, but missing my cat's ER summary ENTIRELY just by not flipping to the back of the paper is a huge red flag to me. If I hadn't mentioned it at checkout, I would've left (and paid for) the appointment without adequately addressing the whole reason I came in.For what it's worth, this was 2-3 months ago and we're at a new vet, and our other cat just recently needed an ER visit as well. When we followed up with him at the new vet, she started the visit saying "I've read through the notes for his hospital visit." So clearly, at other places, it can be done.

We have been taking our two Frenchie's here for years. Through checkups and even more serious/tough visits, Chelmsford Animal Hospital has been amazing. The staff, treatment, and professionalism is outstanding. Particularly, Dr. Hart has been so caring and thorough when treating our pups. If you are looking for a vet with great care and an amazing staff, look no further!

Once again, another vet that is just out to make money for themselves instead caring about the health and safety of a pet. I called about getting an estimate for my dog after being referred to them to do a ligament surgery and was told that I would have to redo x-rays with them after I literally just did it less than 24 hours before the phone call at a previous vet I was told they like to take their own x-rays And I told them can they at least just look at the ones that were taken by my vet first and they said no that right there goes to show me that they just want more money because if the x-rays that I had taken were no good I would have gladly allowed them to take new ones, but they wouldn’t even consider it and then I was told that I should look elsewhere All because I ask about them using less than 24 hour olds x-rays. I would definitely recommend Lowell Road Vet in Hudson over this place in a heartbeat.

We love Chelmsford Animal Hospital. My 3yo Dane has had wonderful visits with Dr. Shore and Dr. Lovely; two of the most compassionate and kind vets out there!

Horrendous customer service from the OFFICE MANAGER!I'm searching for a new practice today. After a $500 invoice for a routine visit, I called back to discuss an overpriced (by $100) dispensed medication. I wasn't given an option for a prescription. The office manager answered the phone and was extremely rude. She screamed at me, and, like others said, she wouldn't let me talk. It's clear their priorities lie in their revenue. I am appalled by the lack of ethical policies and treatment of their customers.

Dr lovely is very kind and passionate about my animal's health. This place is reasonably priced for appointment, vaccine, procedures (compared to other places). And the couple times I've been, the wait wasn't long. What I don't like is that every follow up is always with a technician. I always have questions about the next steps and the technician don't know the answers. I prefer if the vet called me directly and discussed everything with me (which I know other places do this). Just FYI, over here, the vaccines are only done by vets. So if you can group these in with other appointments with the vet, it might save you some money. Also try to get written prescription for everything and get your meds online. Like every other animal hospital, this place also uncharges their supplies by a lot.
