I have bought my Christmas Tree from Allendale Farm's for the past 7 years. I always pay extra for the Fraser Fir (less shedding of the needles and it is supposed to be the "best" tree). This year, I bought my tree after Thanksgiving and put it in the stand. I am used to Christmas trees being thirsty for the first week or two and then you have to water them 2-3 days. I immediately filled my stand with water; close to the brim. It never drank any water, meaning the 6 weeks I had my tree I not once put water in it after the initial time. It didn't have that pine tree smell, it was constantly losing needles and was obscenely dry (dryer then what I am used to).The only conclusion I can come up with is they had cut this tree or received it months before selling OR I bought an extremely dead tree. When I took it down the other day (Jan 4th); I noticed how dry it was and the amount of needles that fell off from when I initially got it was substantial.I've been buying fresh trees for 4 decades, this was a let down. Especially when you pay over $200 for a 6 foot tree. I wouldn't suggest buying from here, go to Home Depot/Lowe's or where ever they sell trees and save the money.

We love this farm. Always great produce, and everything else. Worth the stop just to see Curtis and Willard the highland cattle!

The farm, Garden Center, Farmstand and CSA also runs a summer children's camp. The Garden Center was recently named Best of Boston 2023. A community-focused local gem.

As a novice gardener I visited this place for the first time. The selection of plants, trees, and veggie seedlings is impressive. They also had a wide selection of Coast of Maine products which the big box stores don't have. Everything was reasonably priced and the employees I encountered were all very knowledgeable.

Just for Christmas trees. So they have a really well thought out system here with matching tags and a vehicle tie down while you wait. Tipping is suggested. A good amount of crafty ornaments and edible stocking stuffers. It's a very Subaru Brookline kinda vibe and they seemed to be running out of 6-7 foot trees so ppl were buying big ones and having them sawed off. Maybe they get more

I love this place, it's a farm stand nursery in Boston. Check this place out, their plants are not a lot more expensive than the big box stores and has such better vibes.Farm store is a bit pricey, but it's high quality locally grown food. You get what you pay for.

Balsams grow faster meaning their branch strength is less than a Fraser, however Balsams are often “fuller”, with more, closer growing branches. Unlike the Fraser, Balsams have “soft” needles. This means that the needles lay flat so when you grab a branch with your hand, it's not sharp.

Just came here for our Christmas tree for the first time this year. The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable and the process was quick and easy. Do note that you have to reserve a time online to be able to get in and choose a tree. Prices were affordable and fair for Christmas trees. The farm stand was really well stocked with veggies, local goods, and other Christmas accoutrements. Also in a beautiful location. Overall a great experience and definitely will be back!

I was very amazed by the very friendly & knowledgeable staff out there thanks to our wonderful teamwork w/ BOTH our lively NEY & Brandeis groups (i.e. Picking nice 'n ripe radishes & interesting discussions shortly after our snack/beverage break in the Gray HSE, respectively). As a matter of fact, this sure brings back great memories of when my dad & I did some of our productive short errands @ Russell's Garden on RTE 20 in Wayland (i.e. My '93 April vacation).Beth Budner, Auburndale!
