My daughter chose a dress at BHDN Chestnut Hill. It was due to ship in one month. The week we were to receive the dress I noticed a charge on my credit card and then a credit. On Saturday I looked up the email receipt and checked the status, it said canceled. I called customer service and was on hold for 30 mins, I then called the store. The woman said she had no answers as to why this happened, not notifying me and if we could still get the dress. She would call me back on Monday after checking with coporate. On Tuesday afternoon I called again. The woman said she didn’t call me back because she had no answers from corporate . I requested a call from corporate and from BLHD store. Here we are eleven days later, NOTHING! No one bothered to even get back to me. The way BHLD handled the situation is almost as bad and outrageous as canceling a wedding dress order and never telling you. Do not go look for a dress there as it may never show up and the stress is overwhelming. Not the experience that you want.

Make bhldn your first stop on your search for your wedding dress! I had two back-to-back appointments, the first at another nearby store, and the second at bhldn. I left my first appointment so discouraged and stressed due to the selection and my dismissive stylist. At bhldn, I felt welcomed and supported from the moment I set foot in the store. My stylist (Meg? Maddie?) was ready for me right away, and had dresses ready for me from the online intake form when I made the appointment. She was training another stylist, and gave both of us ample attention, with patience and passion. She listened to my feedback about what I liked or would change about each dress, and eventually pulled one that I hadn't considered - of course, I put it on and cried, and that dress ended up being The Dress! Notably, I never felt pressured, and my body was spoken about neutrally and with respect, when relevant. I felt safe and comfortable, my dress arrived within a few weeks, and highly recommend bhldn Chestnut Hill for your wedding dress!

I had the best experience and found my dream dress at an affordable price! Many kudos to my wedding dress consultant, Shinae, who was incredibly helpful, kind, patient, and knowledgeable! So grateful for this experience :)

Can’t thank the staff here enough! I came last summer to look for my wedding dress and the experience was really lovely. I took the dress to a tailor for alterations, who unfortunately took the dress in too much and told me it couldn’t be undone. In a panic, I called the store and asked if there was a way I could buy the sample that fit perfectly during my appointment months prior. The manager was so nice and said I could come back and try it on and ended up selling the sample to me at a discount. Everything here was so beautiful and the team really made the experience great!

10 of 10, this place is amazing!! I found THE DRESS here - it was the first one I tried on. The sales associates are so wonderful, kind, patient, and helpful. The wedding dresses are excellent quality for the price. They’re on par with gowns 4x the cost. They’re cut well and the materials are great. They ALL looked fabulous! Plus they have excellent accessories like veils that are also reasonable for the price. I got mine there as well. After wedding dress shopping all over Boston, THIS is the place I would recommend going.

Love love loved my experience here! Kinda lucked out because I was the only bride in the store when I went, so I didn’t have to share the floor with anyone else. My consultant, Shinae, was fantastic. She was so kind, patient, and made me feel comfortable. If you like romantic, classic, or elegant dresses, there’s a ton of options for you to try. Not to mention, the prices are SO affordable compared to other bridal boutiques. I found my dream dress here, and Shinae as well as BHLDN really streamlined the ordering process for me. Luckily, the dress I wanted was not on back order, and will arrive 5-7 days after ordering it in-store. This was so important for someone who only started wedding dress shopping 4 months out from her wedding day!

I was so pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my experience at BHLDN! I’d say this store is somewhere in the middle experience wise: you’ll still get your own space with complimentary champagne, but the other bride scheduled is visible and the staff do not fully assist you into the dress (they still zip and clip of course, they’re just not going to physically put you in the dress like how other stores do). This was all fine for me because I felt like I didn’t need the over-the-top bridal shop experience as I was interested in a more laid back setting.My stylist, Meg, felt like the perfect match for me. She really understood my vision for my wedding and truly listened to my likes and dislikes. I never felt pressured or like she wasn’t registering my concerns. I probably would’ve bought a dress on the spot but I had an appointment at another shop that afternoon I was committed to. After experiencing a very pushy/salesy and disconnected appointment at the other store, I was excited to get back to BHLDN the next day to buy my dress. Meg was able to squeeze me in to try on my dress once more before purchasing and helped with accessory ideas too. Another plus is the dresses here are unique, fun, and affordable. The two dresses I was considering were $995 and $1295. My mom and I left so happy and I’m so excited about my dress!

Maddie made my experience so fun and stress free! It was a wonderful afternoon. I didn't feel pressured to decide at that moment like in other shops. I called the next day to place my order and received my dress 3 days later.

I was on a tight timeline and hadn’t been able to find anything until I visited BHLDN. I found the perfect dress! I was also lucky that I got assigned an incredible staff - Shinae was super helpful and patient throughout my appointment, I couldn’t thank her enough. Overall it was an amazing bridal shopping experience!

The consultant I had for my bridal appointment, Shinae, was fantastic! She did a great job making me feel comfortable and opening my eyes to some dresses I might not have tried on otherwise. Like another recent review, I was disappointed that several of the dresses I wanted to try on weren't available for try-on in my size (14/16 street size), and some that I did try on were absurdly big on me because they only have a few sample sizes available. Overall, I'm glad I went and was able to work with Shinae, but I didn't find my dress here because I wasn't able to try everything on.

Give Madison (Maddie) a raise ASAP. She made my wedding dress experience so seamless and lovely -- she put me at ease from the second I sat down, met me at my level (first time trying on dresses), and made me and my party feel right at home. She wasn't pushy, she gave great advice and ultimately helped me find my dress in under an hour. Would 100% work with her again. 12/10
