I had a problem with a previous mortgage payment that I had made at another branch. The young lady I worked with this morning explained to me what had gone wrong and took care of the problem. She also explained a payment code to me so I could check my receipt the next time I made a payment. Just another great experience at this particular branch.

Bank wouldn't cash a check that was over 6 months old, even though "they could" . Didn't check with supervisor if they could until I requested , and was then told If it was "closer" to 6 months they would. Told me to go back and get check reissued . Leaving people's bank after 10 years, tired of difficult staff, locations locking doors early before closing time etc. Avoid this branch, and Peoples Bank in general.

Went to this branch the other day to get a box of pennies for my son who is interested in coin collecting and they told me they weren't going to give them to me anymore. I have a account with them and never had a problem with them till now. What ever happened to CUSTOMER service? I might have to move my account to a more customer friendly bank I guess

On 10-21-19 at 0130 pm two tellers on duty, both waiting on commercial accounts. Four people in line waiting. After 15 minute the manager came out to help. Told us not to bring rolled coin-to use the machine. We needed 4 quarters for air for our tire that's why we went to the counter. I guess the bank doesn't want to handle coin. Need more staffing and better customer skills.

The customer service at this particular branch has been pretty subpar every time I've chosen to go there. I walk in with the intentions I'm simply getting a new debit card printed because mine expired. The woman at the counter tells me they can do it but it's going to take help from the woman working with a customer behind me and as soon as she's done, they would call me over. 10 minutes go by, and that women who apparently have the ability to help print my new debit card walks by me casually telling the same women I originally spoke to that she has to go run some paperwork. I'm sitting there dumbfounded thinking "wait but what about me?!" as she walks right out the door. Great communication skills they have going on there..

Signed up for a new checking account to take advantage of $400 promotion: A week after creating the account, I was told the promotion is no longer valid, despite their system accepting the "Get400" promotion code. I visited the Westfield brank and was told by a teller that the system accepts codes even if they are invalid since it doesn't validate them. I asked if the promotion could be extended since it had just expired. The teller checked with management and informed me that no such courtesy could be extened for a new customer. I called headquarters and asked again if they would be able to extend the promotion for a new customer. I explained the main reason for opening the account place was the promotion and that the promotion still appears on their web site and no expiration date is listed. Again, I was told my request could not be honored. I informed the representative that I would be leaving negative feedback on Yelp and closing my account immediately. I left Peoples Bank 20 years ago due to their high fees and thought I would give them another chance. Seems not much has changed. There are many better options, including credit unions that are more likely to work with their customers. Stay away from Peoples Bank.
