I will post better and more pics in a few days. It has basket ball court, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, playground and many picnic areas with a covered pavilion. Great for families and people with dogs.

I've been here many times. Szot park is a unique place. There's a big entrance from the big Front Street in Chicopee. There's a giant tank there on display. Then you come up to a state of the art football field which Chicopee High School plays on though their school is a ways away from the park. Then next to that place there is a big field used from time to time by the town but mostly for sport practices. I go there almost daily to watch my boy practice football. On nice days I like to drive to the side of the park, park my car, roll the windows down and put my hat onto my face and catch a few Zzzzs while waiting for his practice to be over. If you are one of the people walking their dogs there, or if you are riding your bike nearby, please don't disturb me. I'm a teacher. It's been a long day. I want to enjoy Szot park too.

Nice park, lots of updating going on that will look good when finished. Went to see the fireworks here and had a great time.....they put on a good show. Plenty of parking and they had a few food trucks for snacks. The grounds are well groomed and lots of bleacher seats to sit on. Traffic afterwards was pretty bad but the police kept everything moving.
Playground: They have a baseball field and basketball hoops. The pond is being rebuilt.....not sure what the plan is.
Toilets: All I saw were port-a-pots 🥵
Dog-friendliness: Dogs are ok if on a leash.

Always love this place. A large park with multiple entrances, areas to park, areas to sit, you can picnic, play ball, there's a small frog/goose pond, lots of room to walk! Plenty of activities with a basketball court, playground, not sure the status of the bocce court and they took the pool out....so it is under some construction/reconstruction I have heard🤔

Playground: Average size playground with swings and slides
Dog-friendliness: Everybody always walking their dogs there most on leash some not
Picnic area: Has benches and a couple large fields
