I've been a customer at CVS in Concord, MA for many years. On the plus side, the staff, particularly the pharmacy staff, are very experienced and provide excellent service. And, the store has a pretty good selection of personal products (Shampoo, shaving needs, toothpaste, sunglasses, etc.). But, sadly, the negatives are many... First, the store is seriously understaffed. Even cashiers can be hard to find, let alone anyone to help you navigate the products in their aisles. Second, the pharmacy has become nearly impossible to get a hold of via phone. It seems that CVS corporate keeps on adding layers of menu selections and automated responses in their phone system to discourage you from actually talking with a human being. The automated responses have yet to be helpful to me, and certainly no effort is made to make your experience less frustrating! The CVS website is even worse. Finally, when I get a prescription there, I do not want to have to jump through all sorts of hoops to get it - such as being pressured into going with automated prescription deliveries by mail, or having to answer a cascade of irrelevant questions I've answered many times before. Therefore, I recently dumped CVS and switched to a locally owned pharmacy. I actually get to talk to a human when I call - on the first try. The store is well staffed. I don't have to deal with a blizzard of stupid questions when running my charge card through the machine. And, even the prescription prices seem to be lower (at least they are after the insurance adjustment). Goodbye CVS. Nice knowin' ya.

The CVS in Concord, MA is like almost every other CVS: they have the standard products, a pharmacy, give out vaccinations, etc. The pharmacists are generally very good. The clerks are fine, too. People are complaining for no reason here - you are going to a retail pharmacy, not booking a room at the Ritz Carlton.

Pharmacists are just so rude. At times they get very confused and I, as a non pharmacist, have to explain things about my recurring prescription.

I've found clerks in the CVS store to be aways helpful and courteous, and the pharmacists, when I've been able to speak to them, competent and helpful. But the phone service has become completely dysfunctional. When I need to talk to someone in the pharmacy, I'm told to go online or use the app. I do, and both have been of late completely dysfunctional. Try to call direct, they don't want to talk to you. Can't get a person to talk to you. Will put you on hold forever. While damaging your ears with their repeated messaging chatter. Pre-recordings have been starting with "we're experiencing system difficulties" but "we'll be with you momentarily." The first is true; the second is but a lie. And I think they've been saying they have "system difficulties" for about a year or two now. You'd think if they know they have them, they'd fix them. Most recently, they've erred by deleting a month's worth of prescription Eliquis that I need to take. So they're not refilling it, and I can't even talk to them about it. Also, went into their store to either get both a flu shot and vaccine booster, or make an appointment to get one. Couldn't do either in store. Was told to go online, but had started here, and that didn't work, as I told them at the time. A dysfunctional circus, a Catch 22. Wonder what's happening at their management level? Who's running the shop now? Right now they have highly automated dysfunctionality, programmed to self repeat. Or so it seems. Now I have "system difficulties" with them!

What ever happened to customer service at CVS seems like a complete inconvenience for every cvs employee nowadays to check u out.. am I missing something? Is everyone suppose to use the self checkout? guy that works here was rude AF checking me out today, I get if ur having a bad day or whatever but two or three rude comments in a matter of 30 seconds checking out.. is just unacceptable. The acton location is no better rude employees there also.. CVS employees have sh** the bed LATELY if u ask me.. maybe it's the pandemic, maybe other customers are rude, maybe there only making 14$ an hour so why not be rude.. not sure?? but I'm done with CVS in concord and acton.. only place I haven't had a rude employee yet is the Maynard CVS, this company needs new employees or to be trained on being polite and courteous to guests, absolute joke lately since the pandemic started!!

the staff seem uninterested and bored. When no customers need attention, instead of straightening shelves, they play on their phones. The register line situation needs help. People line up sideways or down the aisle and others get angry and confused. Juan leads well when he is there but when he is not chaos starts. No one can answer questions we asked. Also the long haired guy in the pharmacy acts brisk and rude to us older citizens as well as youngsters. Who needs him there?Maynard and Acton much better
