Hutchins Farm is one of the oldest and largest certified organic vegetable and fruit operations in Massachusetts, organic since 1973 and family-run since 1895. It is a wonderful, amazing, beautiful farm on a hillside in Concord. They cultivate many acres of vegetables, small fruit, and apples. They sell delicious, fresh, high-quality organic produce at their seasonal farmstand and at three weekly farmers’ markets in Cambridge, Somerville, and Belmont. Their produce is always delicious, fresh, and exceptional, tasting way better than supermarket food. Standouts include corn, melons, tomatoes, basil, squash, zucchini, pumpkins, peppers, and winter squash. They also have lovely local honey, plants in the spring, and small vegetable plants for home gardens. The farm is run by super nice, friendly, and good-natured people. Although a bit expensive, it is not nearly as overpriced as some places. Some of the best restaurants in Boston source from here. What is not sold is donated to charitable organizations. Visiting this farm is an absolutely must-do, rewarding customers with a sense of ease and peace and the taste of really healthy food.
A beautiful organic farm stand selling a wide variety of high quality, delicious produce. Enjoying every bite so much more compared to the produce sold at the big grocery chains. Drive a little further and support a local farm!
