Great garden center, lots of plants, trees and shrubs to choose from. They have shade plants and sun plants.

Great store with healthy plants, a huuuuge variety including harder to find plants, and helpful staff!

Steve in the gardening center was great and helped us troubleshoot a long-running plant issue, ensuring he understood the problem that needed to be addressed rather than just pushing some products on us and sending us on our way. Overall the rest of the staff we interacted with was mostly friendly and helpful, though a few of them were somewhat abrupt.

I love this place but today was very disappointing. I was there buying $350 worth of stuff and I asked two younger girls that were working if they sold large sunflower plants? They were too busy texting on their phones to even acknowledge me let alone make iContact. They just both replied "no!" After browsing around a little bit more, I went to checkout and I said hello to the cashier and got no response so I asked her how she was doing today? She replied "better if I wasn't here" and was less than friendly to say the least for the rest of our interaction. I was never asked if I was a rewards member until I said something and that seem to be a total inconvenience as well. I realize that getting good help is hard for a lot of businesses because I own a small business myself. Regardless, it's better to be understaffed than to have staff there that treat customers the way that I was treated today by three of the employees. I would still definitely recommend this location because their plants are beautiful and they have very nice stuff. One would just think that for the amount that they charge for their items customer service would be top notch and it wasn't even close!

Purchased 4 Arborvitae trees from them last year end of April, also purchased delivery and planting from them, probably they planted in a 50% shaded area in early May. Watered them in the first 2 weeks every day twice morning and evening with 5 gal pales each, then believed they should have established, later on relaxed to once when noticing consecutive dry days. Later started to notice browning, and then picked up watering again - this time with hosing each maybe 1 minute evening- which I roughly estimate would also fill a 5 gal pale - and town has suggested to limit outdoor watering to evening every other day. Ended up pretty much all brown, and town further limited watering to only weekend once, by this time I gave up. Was attributing to the dry season. But the past weekend happened to stop by and inquired about warranty thinking to replant them. Supposed to have 1 year warranty. But 1st asked for my physical receipt, which like most people I probably misplaced long time ago, then realized that as a Reward member, they could find my receipt from their system, then was asked to come back with picture that shows them dead. - I happen to have taken picture last year and was in my phone, then showed to them, then said I probably was not watering them enough and that is not covered, and the gentleman said he could not do the refund anyway, and I will have to come back. I have to admit that last year this area was a dry year, maybe I should have watered more. But I also wonder, if I had told them I did 5gal twice every day all the time, maybe they would tell me I watered too much. And my tree planting surviving rate had been pretty high, including from last year, like 1 died out of 15 other than these 4, some friends actually said I have "green thumb". Could it be I didn't take the right care of the trees, certainly could. Maybe these trees are quite different from the other trees I myself had planted - maybe they need more water.I went there again later, this time a lady who is supposed to be able is present. The same thing. - After I told her the same, she said I was supposed to water every other day and maybe I could skip if it rains, until freezing - now thinking back, isn't that what I told her/described above - I guess my didn't last into freezing? Just described differently. I wonder if I point out such, I probably would have to produce evidence. Anyway she insisted I watered insufficient, which could be true, I had not planted this kind of trees before. So when I suggested that they could give me instructions if this type of trees need extra water compare to other trees, she suggested that I myself should have researched on how to take care of these trees "because like buying grocery, they would not give you all the recipes with the produce". Anyway, I am not a person like to argue, the coverage is declined. Not going to buy plant from them again, if at all, I will try to remember to forget about the warranty - well, like warranty for many other products. but often they do not ask further questions if there are receipts. The lady did say I should have called last year, maybe they could have made a difference. But I guess we could not go back in time.My own fault for being too confident on knowing how to take care of the trees from past experiences and not good at keeping records.

I was in need of some new plants to help me make it through the remaining weeks of winter and decided to go to Mahoney's in Concord to scratch the itch. I love how the website shows many of the plants that are available, and how many are in each store. I was greeted enthusiastically and offered help on entering the store. Every staff member I encountered during my hour of browsing was very friendly. There is a nice selection of plants to choose from and I walked out with a beautiful Philodendron Gloriosum which has adjusted very well to its new environment and new pot. I can't wait to go back for more!

The plants are beautiful and that is why I return. The people at the cash register are surly and regard their customers as nuisances.

Consistently rude and disrespectful at Concord Mahoneys. I've Been going here for a couple of summers, only because it's close. Today I stood listening to the two cashiers conversations for an uncomfortable few minutes until I finally had to interrupt and ask to be rung out. I've since found many other gardening centers nearby that are much better. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. The Winchester one is much nicer and so is the staff. Mahoneys you have a staffing problem in Concord.

It was my first visit, the place is huge so I wasn't sure where things were. I had two interactions with employees that were not pleasant. With one I had a question about growing something in the summer and he was almost sarcastic and rude with his answer. With the other I asked where something was and got an answer to the effect that I should have know how to find it myself. I did meet a lovely customer who was very knowledgeable so she gets one of my stars. And the girls at the checkout counter were very nice so they get the other star.

The selection is fine and prices are average, but the staff aren't helpful. They just point in the general direction of where something will be "if we have any". It's like they don't care about sales at all. This happened with more than one employee. It is near Route 117 and has ample parking.
