Had a lovely experience here yesterday and got great service and a super cute outfit. Kelley was so fun to work with, she helped both me and my daughter find what we were looking for, and she even talked me out of getting something that didn’t look amazing on me. I don’t like being upsold on clothing, and I really value honesty. I didn’t feel any pressure while shopping, and really enjoyed my time in the store. I will make a point to stop in whenever I am in town. Btw I really appreciated that she helped my daughter too and made her feel included. Sometimes I feel like people disregard teenagers, but Kelley gave my daughter helpful advice, and she had so much fun and loved the experience with mom. It was really special.

Clothing is unique and cute. The owner is well known in Concord as an unpleasant, hard to deal with person. I try to shop when she is not in because I don’t want to deal with her. As others have mentioned the return/exchange policy is unreasonable.

Bought my wife a gift that turned out to be too big. She tried to return it and the store owner was just unbelievably rude. Hope she enjoys tending her empty junk store.

This is by far the best home decor and clothing shop in New England! The selection is exquisite and the owner so lovely. And the candles!!! Must stop in Concord.

I've liked many of the items in this store in the past. But today I was dismayed to hear the salesperson telling an in-store customer about a recent caller who asked some questions about an upcoming sale. This salesperson repeated the caller's questions for everyone to hear, laughing about the caller's cluelessness --an unprofessional and condescending thing to do with other customers around.

Nasty salesperson made the nastiest face within the first 5 seconds upon entering the store with my children. I walked out and purchased the item on Shopbop.

I can’t believe the reviews I’m reading because clearly these reviewers are either extremely uptight or have the wrong store. Since the moment this store opened it became my favorite store in the world and run by one of the most beautiful (inside and out), caring people. Kelly takes an interest in her customers, gets to know their likes and dislikes and what will look good on them. She has great recommendations whether it’s myself, my daughter or my husband shopping. Thistle Hill is the reason I shop in Concord so the other stores, though nice on their own, benefit from Thistle Hill’s presence in the town. I prefer to shop small and therefore am fine with stricter return policies, putting down my coffee when I enter to protect the beautiful environment and fully understand the difference in margins for boutiques over chains. There is also a huge difference in quality between these store models and when you weigh price/quality/wear, the items sold by Thistle Hill are actually better economically. When it comes to reviews, remember that consumers are more likely to post a negative review than a positive one. Reasonable people who may have a negative experience somewhere are also more likely to give the shop, restaurant or hotel the benefit of the doubt before jumping to conclusions and complaining loudly to the world. I’m glad that these unreasonable people don’t plan to shop here in the future as it will make my frequent excursions here far more enjoyable. Thank you Thistle Hill for creating such a wonderful experience.

Kelly has a beautiful shop with great clothing and home goods. All three generations of my family shop here and all find things we love! It is so nice to have such a great place, locally. Looking at a previous review I am shocked. Kelly has always been kind, and extremely helpful and attentive when I'm in her store. I have seen people spill coffee in her shop, be generally rude (rare) and know that many local shops have been plagued by shoplifters. Retail in a small town is no easy gig and it's a shame that an unhappy customer would be so personally critical. I have never seen anything but friendly attentive assistance from the staff at this shop. Such a little gem of a store!

Wow. What a horror show. Do NOT go to this store. The other reviews are RIGHT! I recently had a run-in with the owner Kelly who wouldn't let me return or even exchange my purchase because I didn't have my receipt. I asked if she could look it up on her computer and she looked at me like I was from an unknown planet. She was unbelievably mean/rude to me and threatened to call the police if I kept asking her to accept the item for an exchange. I can't believe a store with such fine merchandise would have such a horrible person running it/owning it. It is truly a shame not to mention disappointing and downright disgusting to have to encounter such a miserable person, while in a boutique surrounded by beautiful things. I can only imagine her inner pain and suffering.
