I had my motherboard, ram, And the cooling system replaced.
They put in the ram backwards and they didn't run a test like they said or they would have caught it.
There's a computer shop in Beverly that's really good go to someone who knows stuff.

Johanni is the best. I needed Geek Squad services a number of times over the past year and I couldn't have made it without her expertise. You rock girl!

I want to thank Brendan from the Geek Squad at Best Buy in Danvers for helping me to eliminate cable tv in my home. What I am saving on my cable bill for the year paid for 2 new Samsung TVs and a total care plan for the year with Geek Squad. Brendan came to my house and took care of everything: mounting the TVs on the wall, taking away old technology and cable wires, setting up Samsung Plus, which is a free live streaming app already built in to the new TVs. Now, he is helping me to lower my $130/mo internet cost. I am not knowledgeable about this stuff. I could never have done any of this without his help. Thank you, Brendan and Geek Squad!

It all began when I received a follow up call to my scheduled appt. w/GS. Chris didn't seem to like his job or want to be there. Poor phone manner! When I show up for my scheduled appointment. Kim with no eye contact talks over me.... Saying comments like; "you have a $250 deductible"; without even referencing/looking up my account. Then Sam comes out from the back...interrupts and speaks to me like I'm 2yrs old. Neither one could find my service plan in the system. I walked away...when I turned to a manager on the floor of BBUY and mentioned to her about my experience...she simply said "ok". I went to my car called 1800 - geek squad whom found my service plan!! I immediately canceled the plan. Contact your local computer service biz. So much more knowledgeable and I might add professional!! Customer service is dead at Best Buy in Danvers. Lost my business.

I've had two interactions with Geek Squad -- one on the phone and one at our house. Both were excellent. The online tech was able to talk me through the problem, and found the solution --patiently. The house visit was occasioned when we got a new printer that we couldn't get to work right. The Geek Squad guy who came was infinitely patient and explained everything that he did. We have bought the whole package of services and will gladly rely on them.

I am disappointed in the service here. I usually aspire to live by that "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything" rule, but perhaps a negative review will give these guys the impetus to improve their customer service. Here goes: We needed a specialized laptop and quickly. Joey on the sales floor was excellent and we got that part done in less than an hour. He talked me into using Geek Squad to install antivirus and software and that's where things went sideways. I should have installed the software myself. I told him we needed the computer quick, kid starting college, and he felt sure that the geeks could get this done in a day. But we needed an appointment.... so he arranged it for the next day. Except, oops, the confirmation was for the day after. Okay, I can be flexible. I bring the laptop back a day later and the kid at the desk was really nice. They'll text me, he said, when it's done. Probably tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went. No texts. Kid started classes, no computer, and so he stopped by the store -- thinking it MUST be done.... nope. I tried calling (like 15 times) and it's all but impossible to get a human on the phone. Finally, 55 hours after we dropped the thing off, someone answered the phone and said, "Yep, it's just about done! Let's make you an appointment to pick it up. Can you come in tomorrow?" I didn't want an appointment. I wanted the computer back. I told her this and she hemmed and hawed and said I'd probably have to wait, y'know, because other people had appointments tonight .... all fine. We show up at the store and there's no one in line, no apparent appointments, the software isn't all installed (because Office 365 "takes a bit" to install) and they can't give the computer back without an appointment. I beg to differ and she grudgingly tells me she can give it to me but she won't "Demo" it. Even better. By this point I'm really frustrated. Thinking this kid isn't getting it, I gently pointed out that the thing took way longer than expected. She coldly retorted, "Well. Our turnaround time is about 4-5 days." Then I said, "The other thing is that it's impossible to get through to you guys on the phone. I know it's not you personally but that's really frustrating." Her response? "I know." The Geek Squad service isn't free. It's actually kind of pricey. I didn't insist on speaking to the manager but maybe I should have. I'm frankly kind of amazed they're still in business. Seriously, I don't think I will ever go back.

Geek squad did a outstanding job with the configuration of my new laptop. Did what I asked for, answered all my questions; set up an appointment for me to pick up the laptop; did a walk-thru of how to set up the remote connection; and made several suggestions, such as to try some new anti-virus software. Overall, when I left I knew everything was going to work well, and everything worked as projected by the team. In today's environment, this is not the norm. With the Geek squad it is. Money well invested.
