I recently placed an online order (#100901183240518313) for & scheduled the delivery through Lowes. The order included 37 Ea. metal roofing panels & 100 Ea. 1"x4"x12' pressure treated boards which were delivered all in a bundle strapped together. I painted giant signs on 4x8 sheets of plywood saying "roof panels here" & "wood here" to indicate to the driver/forklift operator I needed the roof panels in a separate pile from the lumber. The driver decided he didnt want to bother spending the extra 5 minutes it would take to make two trips with the forklift & dropped it all in one pile. That was complaint #1.
Complaint #2: About 30-40 out of the total 100 "pressure treated" boards I ordered were covered in mold & not sanded/smooth like the rest. The worst part is Lowes intentionally hid the junk at the bottom of the stack so I would not see them. There was about 10 rows x 10 boards wide in the stack, they hid all the moldy junk boards in the bottom 3-4 rows. I tried calling to complain & request a refund but was put on hold for 25 mins. until I eventually gave up. Needless to say, I will be sticking with home depot moving forward! - Jimmy G

Love the store for the selection of home decor and all the beautiful items and The durability of the majority of the derivatives is fantastic. Can’t go wrong when you go to Lowe’s and you always get a good clearance item or a nice sale item. Somewhere in that store, I’m like a kid in a candy store at Lowe’s. ??

I came to this Lowe's to purchase some silicone sealant and I work for a non profit organization. The woman working the customer service counter refused to create a tax exempt account for me because I did not have a paper copy of my certificate.
Trying to understand why a paper copy was needed (I didn't need one at the Home Depot), I questioned her on why a paper copy was required and the answer of "because my manager said so," did not sit well with me. When asked if I could speak with a manager I was told they were on break.
It's not even my money and it was only $6 but the level of attitude this person gave me, all so they didn't have to do their job, is unacceptable. This is everything that is wrong with the American retail experience. Cheap labor pool of lazy humans who would rather stand around doing nothing and making up excuses to do nothing than actually assisting a customer with an actual business purchase.
If Home Depot carried the product I needed, I would have immediately dropped my items and drove to the nearest Home Depot. This will be my last time shopping at Lowe's.

Bought Craftsman products and both times the charger was not working, even after replacing the product. Lowe's feels like the Temu of big stores. Home Depot is the best place to buy home equipment and electronics.

Def better and cleaner than a Home Depot. It’s the Target of main stream big box hardware stores, with better home decor selections.

Part 1.On December 23rd, my stove suddenly stopped working, prompting me to visit the Lowe's store in Danvers, MA. My intention was to find a new stove and also replace my microwave and dishwasher. I made arrangements for the delivery to take place two weeks later, allowing time for a plumber to disconnect the stove. However, I had to return to the store to request a change in the delivery date. Unfortunately, the evening before the scheduled delivery, I did not receive a confirmation call. Concerned, I contacted the store and was informed that the delivery had been rescheduled from January 9th, 2024 to January 11th, 2024 by the Lowe's store in New Hampshire. Seeking assistance and clarification, I called the store but encountered unhelpful customer service representatives who advised me to contact the New Hampshire store myself. Despite spending 45 minutes on the phone trying to reach them, my attempts were in vain as no one answered. Feeling frustrated, I decided to visit the store in person and requested to speak to a manager. However, I was informed that the managers were in a meeting. To make matters worse, an unpleasant woman at the computer completely ignored me. Undeterred, I approached two other employees and asked for a manager. Mitch, who claimed to be the supervisor, reluctantly listened to my problem. I explained the inconvenience caused by rearranging my day and having a plumber come to disconnect my appliances in preparation for the new ones. I expressed my confusion regarding the changed delivery date. In response, Mitch simply stated that there was nothing he could do and advised me to contact the New Hampshire store myself. He asserted his authority as a supervisor and spoke condescendingly, leaving me feeling unwelcome and as if I didn't belong there. Mitch did not take the initiative to call the store himself, instead placing the responsibility on me despite my frustration with the situation. It is disheartening when individuals in positions of authority fail to provide the necessary assistance and support.I empathize with individuals who come across people like Mitch, the customer service representatives who are ill-suited for a managerial role and incapable of handling the public, resulting in customers feeling unwelcome and compelled to resolve their issues independently.
