Last week my sister and I went food shopping at The Market Basket in Danvers and Jamie (1st year) was extremely helpful with our groceries and with the cart. We need more Jamies in the world and Market Badket is very lucky to have him.

I had a great experience today walking out of market basket in Danvers. It was down pouring rain and I was with my 1 year old and this sweet employee Jamie (1st year) offered an umbrella and to bring me and my son to our car under the umbrella. He not only did that but also unloaded our groceries for us in the rain to help keep us dry. He was such a sweet man and very kind! Market basket is lucky to have him!

It breaks my heart to give 2 stars because I'm a huge DeMoulas, I mean Market Basket, fan. Here's what happened: I was at the store this evening and ordered a pound of ham. The deli woman (didn't get her name...she was short, heavy with a bun). She sliced some ham but it was short, only .81. She tried again, got a little closer but not a pound. She then pretended to place more ham in my pile but her hand was empty. No ham. How do I know? I was standing there watching her do it. Was going to let it go but I heard her whispering to her friend about what she just did. I took the ham and walked away. Came back to deli and asked the deli man to weigh the ham. It was now clear. She overcharged me. Not sure if she was just being lazy, being sneaky or what. Now, I realize I am talking about being overcharged by 50 cents. Not a huge deal for most. It's not the money, it's the sloppy disrespectful attitude. I know Market Basket is having big problems and there's currently family infighting at play. I wonder if this chaos is affecting its employees' attitudes towards shoppers. Deli Manager Melby (sp?) should look into providing training to this rude deli woman who, in essence, almost committed a crime tonight. Market Basket, please get your act together...there's an Aldi down the street.

Absolutely impeccable organization of the candy. I am honestly impressed. This store is huge, so they have basically everything you could want

I am going to keep this short, I stopped by Market Basket in Danvers, bought 3 steak and cheese sandwiches, the kitchen manager refused to honor my request for putting the condiments on the side.
She called the store manager, he promptly and kindly asked the kitchen staff to provide the customer the condiments on the side.
The kitchen managers name is Allisa, on this day was extremely rude and as a result of the poor customer interaction should be reprimanded.
Never have I ever been treated with such poor service at a M.B.
As a reminder: to the Kitchen manager for all MB:
1. Condiments come with the purchase of a sandwich
2. You as the kitchen manager do not tell the sandwich purchaser what condiments they would like or how they get them.
3.You as the kitchen manager should not argue with the customers
If those at M.B. that would like greater detaileds to what occurred during this interaction please let me know.

Slowly going down hill due to low hanging fruit employees seem to be running the stores. I give it less than five years. Sad

Well now that they’ve got Artie out of the picture, they’re already raising prices outrageously. Do they know, that’s why everyone shopped there?
Well no more! Might as well go to Stop & Shop if we’re going to pay premium prices. A few slices of banana bread for $6.59. Are you kidding me?
And I was there at 3:00p this afternoon…empty! At that time, you usually can’t get up and down the aisles; and there were at least 6 registers staffed and wide open with nobody in line. I think people are boycotting again. Good!
They should go out of business this time. No Artie T and high prices, no thanks. They can go pound sand now.

I previously shared a review about a negative experience with a cashier named Joyce, who seemed intent on embarrassing and shaming customers. I’ve since deleted that review because it was several years ago, and she likely doesn’t even work here anymore.
What I do want to highlight is the wonderful experience I had today with Jaime. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me warmly, then went above and beyond by bringing my cart to the car and helping unpack my groceries. This level of customer service has felt absent in the world for quite some time, and it truly stood out.
Even with a slight language barrier, Jaime made a genuine effort to connect, which left me smiling and feeling cared for —something many service professionals seem to have forgotten. I’m deeply grateful for the kindness and humanity Jaime brought to my visit today.
